I got this particular version (version v2.0R) of the switch as I was made aware that it consumes less power than the previous versions. The only place to get a switch like this is to import it from America so I purchased from Amazon US and it took about a week to arrive.The power supply that came with it obviously has the American plug prongs on it but it is easily replace by ones that fit in the desktop Netgear switches (which I happened to have a few).It was just a case of plug and play and then my NAS and my Mac Mini could communicate at the faster 2.5Gb to the rest of my devices.It works well and while it does feel a little warm while in use, it was nothing to be concerned about.

Easy to install, does exactly what it says on the tin. Lost a star for me because the power adapter was US not UK style and the product description does not mention this (amazon.co.UK <---) so I've had to purchase an adapter. What is extra odd is that the adapter has that 'hot swappable' plug feature but only the American plugin was included.
