Taconic Shave Unscented Organic Pre-Shave Oil (2 oz.)

Earlier I had used the Taconic shaving cream which was superb..and now this product is awesome too..it smells great..provides fantastic softening to the beard prior shaving..I am absolutely satisfied

I moved to DE safety razor shaving and shavette shaving almost 2years back . Tried many super premium shaving cream but only one Indian brands pre shave oil .stopped using that moved to pre shave cream since that was way too oily greesy .Taconic is not greesy ,almost unscented which is risk free of disliking or liking the aroma of the oil if it had any .Two pumps after a warm water bath /steam made the shave with an open comb safety razor shaving Nick free ,easy glide and almost no razor burn . Verified with alum block .Yes it's not as awesome as truefitt and Hill's ore shave oil but it costs 1/3 of it while delivering 85% of its quality and comfort

Makes your shaving smother

Helps in smooth shave but basic cold pressed olive oil provides same comfort. So not worth 1100

I’ve read about pre-shave creams and oils that are supposed to soften your beard up so you can have a more comfortable shave.Finally having used it, I’ll go ahead and say it’s an absolute myth that you need to put on some preshave. Either that, or this product doesn’t work as claimed.It’s a sticky, thick oil that smells strange and does nothing to make the glide any better. If you shave after a shower, then you don’t need this for sure.

After seeing the reviews I went ahead and purchased this preshave oil which smells like a sewing machine oil or the oil which comes with trimmer. Does it make a smooth shave? The plain and simple answer is NO on the contrary since it’s is a oil and if you use shaving creams and gel than you won’t get desired leather making your shaving experience horrible. I have started to think that it’s a duplicate product which is being sold here in INDIA.
