I rarely receive so much from such a small investment ...
I recently purchased a 1998 Honda Prelude that was, for the most part, in excellent condition. The exception was the original Honda Acoustic Feedback Sound System. Both front 6.5" OEM speakers were blown and I needed to replace them. The Prelude doors are quite shallow and hardly any speakers actually fit the the space provided.without cutting and drilling. In searching for a speaker that would fit without modification was this speaker, the Boss Audio BSR65. Because of the multiple mounting holes and the low profile design, I was able to just drop them in place of the OEM speakers. The sound of this speaker was better than I expected for a $15 speaker. Base response was acceptable, the mids are actually quite smooth and pleasant to listen to and the highs are clear but can be a little harsh. Fortunately, my receiver has a lot of sound shaping utility and I can deal with the highs just fine.I rarely receive so much from such a small investment ... I do plan on a major rebuild of my system in the near future, but the Boss Audio speakers will allow me to enjoy my tunes until I have the time to build the new system.

sold individually ??
The speaker is well made and sounds just perfect of my application. It is going into an 1958 MGA Coupe that I am restoring. The MG had only one original speaker, located in the center of the dash, so all I needed is one. So sold individually was just the ticket for me. I am not sure how the seller defined individually, but a received a nice carton [see photo] and when I opened it there were two speakers. Amazon label is in photo 2 says "sold Individually". Perhaps they define 'sold individually' only 1 box.Great value for money!

Of all the speakers out there, these are some of them.
They sure do speak, I tell you what. These won't blow you away. I needed some cheap speakers to just have a functioning audio system in my 90s Honda. It'll sound like an OEM system from the late 90s, and you'll be totally okay with that. And while you're not blowing out windows 3 blocks down, they do a decent job of producing decent sound for a pretty decent price. They fit right in, look like OEM speakers, and there are lots of screw holes for whatever zany setup the manufacturer of your car had going on.

Replaced a blown car speaker
2007 Toyota Highlander with the JBL premium audio package. Front driver side speaker had a nasty vibration in it. Couldn't bring myself to spend the bucks on the OEM speaker. This one works well enough and the difference isn't noticeable to the other door speakers.

Junk, buy higher quality.
These things are absolute crap, Im a mechanic and attend college full time for mechanical engineering I have installed probably 2 dozen sets of aftermarket speakers in my life these are the worst I have ever seen, no other speaker I have ever seen is anywhere near the level of low that I consider these speakers, first of all let me bring to your attention that they are sold in singles. Only speaker for a car I have ever seen not sold in pairs... They come with no hardware, no electrical connections, no anything. I bought the 6x9s and a pair of 6.5s thinking that I dont need anything special just a cheap stock replacement, I did not get that. What I got were four completely useless hunks of junk. Right out of the box they crackled and popped at what I consider normal listening level forcing me to listen to them at half of the volume I would normally listen to my music at, by the end of the week even at the low volume level one of each size was completely blown. The other two barely audible. Just save your money and buy something that will work. I just bought the Polk Audio equivelants to replace these and they are nothing short of amazing. I spent 60 on four of these with shipping and 130 on the polks with shipping and I would do it again every time. Would not pay 10 bucks for a set of four, junk.

Good speaker not so universal
Bought this for a 2015 mustang. The connections for the electronics were not plug and play and the installation holes also didn't line up. But, I cut apart the old housing and made it work with the help of a soldiering iron and pvc cutters and electrical tape (long story). And was thrilled at the quality of the speaker and the sound. If only it had been plug and play, this would be a 5 star review.

Sound great for the price!
I replaced the speakers in my Chevy truck with these. The installation was pretty easy and they sound very good for the price. It was a very good replacement option and cost much less than the OEM version. The only thing that I would do differently is not connect the factory tweeters.

Their price and great sound for aftermarket speakers.
The speakers perform very well, putting out a quality sound. A great price for speakers which were easy to install as replacement speakers. Will purchase another set for the cab of my vehicle. These speakers have outstanding low and high sound output. They have the purchased appeal because of their great sound quality and price.
