Wouldn’t recommend save your money
Amp clearly states on it in big bold letters fuse rating 20 amp but came with 25 but that’s not the problem I hooked the amp up it did fine for about 5 minutes or so then went off so I checked it and the fuse had blew so I pop another in it then same thing so then I give them benefit of the doubt that where it said 20 amp was right I put a 20 in and it the fuse immediately blew and the capacitors in the amp starting blowing smoke out and I’m sure this sounds like installer error but I’ve installed 5 systems in my truck this year and no I’m not on #5 due to blowing them I just got tired of them so I’m bout 100% sure it’s not installer error

Just buy it
Don't be afraid of the exposed transistors and capacitors. This is literally every other monoblock amp out there, minus the case. Just get creative and have fun. It hits well and hold temperature well. Looks like crap, but it's a surpriser.PA-80D just buy it

It works.
I'm in the process of trying to make a DIY powerful boombox using an off brand stereo head unit and some speakers I have lying around, one being a 600 watt BOSS subwoofer speaker.I am a complete newbie to automotive audio, so I am doing a lot of research before I connect anything to ensure I don't blow anything up. I determined I'd need an amplifier for the 'woofer speaker. Now, I want the subwoofer there for a more rounded sound. I am not looking to blast holes in my house from sheer bass power. So I didn't want a high powered amp, especially given that most amps are much higher wattage than my lone speaker. This seemed to be the best fit for my needs with regards to power, performance and cost. In initial tests, it's proving to be just that, though it's also proved I'll need better equipment to power it.As other reviewers have mentioned, there are zero instructions for this amp. It took me a while to finally locate the speaker-out on this amp- It's two tabs on the PCB. Once I figured that out I rigged this amp up.I connected my head unit to some two-way speakers and tweeters, and connected the head unit to this amp via RCA cables then connected my 'woofer to this amp. After triple checking everything, I connected to my lab bench power suppl, set it to 12 volts and began turning up the current.Everything, including this amp, worked fine. Though as I began slowly turning things up, it become very clear that my lab bench power supply, which maxes out at 30 amps, couldn't power this amp.Again, I want the 'woofer for better tone, not to blast bass. I found that maxing out the Low Pass Filter on this amp and setting the volume to unity gain (12 o' clock) sounded the best, but dynamic audio that had accented bass would overdraw from the supply, shutting it down for a second before restarting and continuing to play. Now, given the price of this amp, I very highly doubt it truly outputs 1,000 watts. Though again, that's fine for me. Even if it doesn't though, it's clear I need a power supply with much higher current to keep this setup of mine going.I tested this setup for about 15 minutes, and even after a few very short bursts of turning up the volume, this amp's heat sink was only just noticeably warm to the touch (and my 'woofer was completely cool to the touch). So, I'm confident that this amp will run reliably so long as it is set up correctly. I will say that if I were to install this in a car, I'm not sure if I'd feel comfortable stuffing it under a seat if I were to crank it up. I doubt the amp would blow up or go ablaze, but I wonder if it would get hot enough to ignite some debris under a car seat (bits of paper from wrappers, etc.). But again, I am very much a newbie to all of this.In summary, this amp has been reliable and forgiving to work with, and considering how much I paid for it, I am very happy with it and look forward to integrating it into a tested, proven DIY build.

You might want to add a fan
Overall for the price i paid it’s surprisingly good it has plenty of power but im confused by the fact it will run a 100w without blowing it up?? And it would be a five star if it didn’t start having a high pitched crt kinda whine after i left it sitting for a week. Overall its great

You get what you pay for
Some of the capacitors weren't soldered in correctly and fell right out. The amp still worked ironically but how does it keep working if it needs those parts I don't know. The leads coming off of the back of the airport or Saturday so the wire is of a small diameter. If it's supposed to put out the wattage it says it does the wire would be significantly larger than 16 gauge. It's of poor quality and the sound isn't that fantastic but maybe that's because of the missing parts. Maybe I got a bad one but I wouldn't buy them again

What Do You Expect?
Unfortunately this gathered a lil dust before experimenting with the install. Of course it was DOA and now unable to be returned. I’m getting voltage to the board but it will not even illuminate the power led. Fuse is good also. I’ve checked about 75% of the board components to no avail. Shouldn’t have too though so that being said this thing is junk. Buy at your own risk.

DONT BUY IT-DID NOT POWER UP
Just hooked it up but NO POWER. Replaced the fuse but still no power. Everything is hooked up correctly. I guess it is a roll of the dice on these. IF YOU BUY IT BE READY TO RETURN IT.

Not true wattage
It's no where near 1000 watts. Save your money.
