Q: About how far do the mittens hang down (in inches)?

I measured from the seam of the flap to the tip of the mitten - it is 32inches. The hat is for my daughter but I just tried it on and it fits my head and I can put my hands in the pouches. I can't quite straighten my arms, but it is still comfortable. I am 5'6"

Unless the guy has a small head then I'd say no. It's made for kids in my opinion.

It is child size. It's a little big for my 5 year old, but I can see him growing into it next year. My 10 year old tried it on and it fit him but the arms were a little too short.
