Caterpillar Men's Flame Resistant Cargo Trouser

Great Buy! Just wash prior to use.
My only complaint is this: the pants came in too large and long. I ordered a 36x32 but out of the package they were too large but, after washing and drying them twice they shrank a lot to the size that they should be. Besides that, these pants are great! Comfortable, thin and flexible making them the best pants for summer refinery work. The best part are the many pockets, they allow me to carry all my tools for QAQC.

Waist size runs slightly small
Nice pants but make sure you size it up one size in the waist. Length was spot on and there is plenty of room in the legs so bending over won't strangle the boys! Quality seems to be good but as with anything, time will tell.

Great FR/work pants, but order up 1-2" from normal waist
I'm giving these a high rating because of their bullet-proof construction and overall design, but pay attention to sizing. The fabric is heavy-duty and I expect will last quite a while. Great array of pockets and loops, just really well done pants. I'm 5'10" 190lbs and wear a 32 in all my pants. I can get these on, but not without some effort and would order a size 34 in the future, which I will do after testing them some in the field. I personally prefer a more fitted leg in my pants. These are seriously wide throughout the pant leg, and I had them tailored a bit to make them more fitted. If the waist were more accurately sized (by my standard), I would easily rate these a 5.

Comfortable fit.
Very nice FR work pants. For the price and the comfort, they breathe and fit as expected. Plenty of pockets for use.

These are very comfortable
The fit is nice. Sizes tend to run a little small. Pocket on front of right thigh is a little low and tends to rub my knee. Pocket definitely needs raised up about 2 inches

Great pants for eork or outdoors. Loose front with big pockets. Comfortable and well made. Great fit over boots, not tight at all.

Disappointed in pockets
I don't typically write reviews, but I had something occur that has prompted me to share my experiences with these pants. I purchased these to do welding and other work that was melting holes in my 5.11s. These are constructed of a nice and heavy FR material that is great in the winter, but a bit warm in the summer. Sadly, I have not been able to make these work for me. I have tried to put them in my rotation on multiple occasions, but am always disappointed. The biggest problem I have with them is the pant leg pockets are way too low on the leg, making them unusable. If you put anything of significance in them the item/s end up banging you in the side of the knees when you walk. The 5.11 pockets are perfect for carrying an IFAK on the leg pocket and spare mag in a smaller pocket closer to but slightly below and in front of the waist pockets without banging your knees. The upper pockets around the waist are way too shallow, preventing them from being used for much. If you want to carry your phone in a front or back pocket, it will not be protected very well from dust, dirt, slag... from dropping in on it. The is also the higher chance of stuff falling out of these shallow pockets. The thing that occurred, causing me to write this was due to the leg pockets being too low. I put these pants on yesterday and did my loadout. By they time I got over to the shop (100 yd walk), I was done with getting banged in the side of my knees by my IFAK and mag. I put the IFAK in my back right waist pocket (which it barely fit in) and left my mag on a table in the shop. After a long hot day working out in the shop, I went back to the house and put my dirty clothes in the washer. I had unloaded everything but my IFAK. I normally do not put anything in my back pockets, so (stupid me) I forgot the IFAK in the pocket. The end result was I forgot my mag in the shop and I washed my IFAK, ruining some of the contents.I am still looking for something closer to the "perfect" FR pant. If I could get a 5.11 FR pant, that would be good. If I could find something made in USA, even better! I will not be buying these CAT pants again.

Best FR pants I've ever owned
As a wildlife biologist whose clients include big oil & gas companies I've had a decent amount of FR pants over my career, and none of the previous pairs have moved the needle. Personally I don't like jeans (too restrictive when hiking up and down steep slopes or slogging through creeks), I normally wear loose fitting Dickies work pants, so since I needed a new pair of FR pants (old FR Dickies finally ripped in too many places) I decided to give these a shot. I was hesitant about the cargo pants style, but these are great! I no longer dread having to hike around oil fields in uncomfortable pants, I just throw these on in the morning and don't think about them throughout the day. In short these are comfortable, loose legged pants that keep the oil field health and safety folks from second guessing my PPE.
