Love these apple pies with my custard..no contest .

THERES A GAP UNDER THE PIE CRUST PERFECT FOR CREAM, OR OTHER.I'd use it - yumm!Perfect pastry consistency.

I remember these from my childhood, but alas, they have gone the same way as many foods from the old days. They are utterly tasteless due to the reduction of fat and sugar, and they have very little filling inside. The pastry is domed, but for absolutely no reason because the filling barely covers the bottom of the case. Don't be fooled by the image on the box, nor the text. These pies are definitely not deep-filled, nor are they bursting with apples, as claimed.

Pastry seems to be getting softer, however few minutes in the air fryer soon crisps it up. Warm apple pie ( inside is hot so caution) served with ice-cream, custard, or cream , lovely quick pud.

Not like they used to be very bland and far to sweet.

If you are a sugar addict this might satisfy your craving but personally I'll avoid in future.
