If you omit the copyright pages and the pages recommending other books, this is a 24 page pamphlet written in very large, double-spaced type. You can read the entire book in about 4 minutes, which is not bad in and of itself, but definitely a rip-off at $9.99. The first line of the last paragraph should tell you something: "Thank you again for downloading this book!"

The book is about the history of the Texas Holdem card game, the game terms, core concepts for success, and playing the game online. It's written for beginners.

This book is 34 pages of kindergarten poker information. It is a total waste of money. I am very disappointed in the information in this book.

A good reference book for poker

This is NOT a book on how to play. For some reason it actually leaves that part out. There are tricks and tips and strategies but not really a how-to that would introduce a beginner.

I bought this for my dad, having introduced him to poker recently. For some insane reason, I thought that "How to play...for beginners" would at some point give a breakdown of the rules... but no, "beginners" are expected to know the rules. Instead, what we get is a history of the game, a glossary of terms, and then an explanation of how to play online. That's it. Nothing else.Don't waste your money.
