Small space!
Wish I would have noticed the dimensions of this item-pretty small, even for a momma guppy.

Good
First off these are great for micro fish, second they come apart with the slightest touch, mine now sits in the cabinet unused since I found a better one. Super easy to use, can go in any tank and is versatile, doesn't stick out in the tank as much, easy to take apart and clean, better as a separation box or for fry but not as a breeder.

As described.
Product is as described, and I have no complaints. I suspect that small fish fry could escape the gaps in the bottom, but this isn't the sort of thing you should keep fish in, even tiny ones, for any length of time. Even babies need more room to move.Clicks together easily, comes apart with reasonable effort, sticks firmly to the wall. I used it to hold a shrimp for a few days. Wouldn't suggest putting fish in it, except overnight or so.This would be good to use with a heavily pregnant guppy. Put the box in a fry tank, put the guppy in the box. Babies are released from mother, swim through the holes in the bottom, escape into fry tank, mother is contained and unable to eat them.

Pretty Flimsy, but Works OK.
I got this extra tank to hold feeder fish in for my piranhas. It came in a pretty questionable-looking box that looked fairly weathered and worn. I was a little hesitant to continue opening the box since it looked so flimsy and strange, but I had to get to the mini tank itself. The mini breeder tank looked used as well. It had some odd residue on the sides of it, and overall it just appeared kinda crumby. Nevertheless, it does work for what I need it for. I wasn’t looking for anything fancy, so this is actually suitable for me.However, the plastic is super thin and cheap. It’s a rather flimsy tank itself, and the suction cups honestly suck. No pun intended. It is always coming loose from the side of my aquarium, and comes off of the little tank unit itself very easily. The way that the suction cups are fitted onto the breeder tank are kinda dumb in my opinion. It makes them come off a lot easier, which isn’t necessarily good.Anyway, this tank works ok for what I need it for. I don’t know that I’d recommend it for anyone who’s seriously considering it for breeding though.

This is built for larger fish breeding and fry nursery ...
This is built for larger fish breeding and fry nursery, not for anything smaller. I used this for my pregnant ghost shrimp and unfortunately, lost majority of fry through the vents (saw one floating off to his death..). I had to use plastic wrap to carefully create the barrier and managed to save one fry.. and yes, I got small size breeder box. The vents may be too big for certain type of fry so buyer beware.Update: My Neon Black tetras were swimming wildly in my tank and I recognized the signs, so placed my pregnant female in this box then most active male that was stalking her and wanting to get in got his wish. Within minutes after being acclimated, they were rubbing against each other and female was laying lots of eggs....but once again, the VENT IS TOO BIG!! The majority of the eggs were flying off through the vents and eagerly awaiting tetras were well fed. Few eggs survived that didn't fall through the vent, but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone else to get something beside this garbage. I'm pretty sure the fry will not remain long here sine they'll be swimming out through the vents just like my ghost shrimp fry.

Beware of suction cups!
I purchase this box because I knew I had two fish who were going to give birth soon. I put the mothers in one tank and had this one for the nursery because of its small size. But the suction cups would not hold onto the side of the tank. They kept releasing no matter how hard we push to hold on. The first night the nursery was full, the box pulled away from the side sometime during the night and floated under the waterfall in the tank. The waterfall caused the tank to sink and in the morning all the babies were gone. We searched the tank for the baby fish and decided they had become live fish food for the other fish.Beware of the the suction cups. They are not strong enough or reliable enough to hold the box to the tank wall.

Works great for my filter situation!
I do not use this for it's intended purpose. I use this to help break the strong current my filter creates in my tank. It works perfect being that it is a small size!! I wish there was a flat divider instead of the jagged one it comes with. I have used this in one emergency situation where one of my small betta tanks went down for a night. I was able to put one betta in this and another in a larger breeding container. I would not recommend this for keeping anything larger than a small betta. Like I said, this came in handy for my filter and an emergency!
