Worked well for me.
Worked perfect for my purpose. I had a hole left in my hard wood floor, due to removal of a pipe in a closet area. The hole was about the same dimensions of this plug This did the job to close off the crawl space and seal out insects.

To really be a strong seal make it a bit thicker
It is a nice looking bung plug - it could have been a little larger and longer- it is almost flush to the barrel surface-

Great replacement for the plastic one that came with my barrel!
Love it. Perfect fit plus great natural material. Highly recommend. Used a rubber mallet for secure placement and it has stayed put.

Perfect fit for old wine barrel.
Bought this to close the hole in an old wine barrel I refinished as a table. Fit perfectly. Used a rubber mallet to pound into place and then an orbital sander to take off some depth.

Filled the hole
We purchased a wine barrel and turned it into a table. We didn’t want spiders and bees to make there home in it this cork worked perfectly

the wooden lid produce black mildew stains
The quality of the wooden lid is not good, moisture seeps out of the wood from the bottle, and a moldy black color is formed in the middle of the wooden lid. Half of the wooden lid has black mildew stains.
