This ukulele is great, especially for the price
This ukulele is great, especially for the price. It sounds great, tunes well, and looks amazing. I extremely recommend it! Some people are complaining about the bag, but I think it's fine. My only complaint is that the wood is just a little bit darker than the picture shows it to be, and I think it's because the pictures exaggerate the gold streaks. Other than that it is a great quality ukulele.

Looks nice, BUT built crooked!
Nice looking, but build is questionable.1) The bridge seems to be cracked on the right side. It looks like grain, but also looks like a crack as it goes all the way through to the body of the ukulele. It is something I would worry about. I reported to Amazon that both sides were cracked, but after looking at the macro photos, the left side looks more like grain now. Could still be a crack, and I still haven't made up my mind.2) The neck is misaligned from the body. Because of this, the bridge is skewed to the right of center. Bridge spacing from the end of it to the sides show a difference of almost 3/16", right and left (see photos). This overall crookedness, while it might seem minor, messes with your mind wanting to see symmetry when looking at the instrument. No matter what I do or how long I look at it, the ukulele is crooked!I'm sure these things are all mass produced mostly by machine, so Aosdin needs to get their manufacturing processes in line. Alignment is crucial in instruments, not only for aesthetics, but also for playability. Make crooked instruments and no one will buy them! The laminated wood used to build the body is VERY thin... looks to be just under 2 mm. It appears to be all wood and the top lamination does indeed look like Koa. Whether it's Hawaiian Koa, I can't tell. I'm from Hawaii, and I know Koa here is getting scarce. The entire ukulele weighs 1lb 2 & 5/8 oz. It's light for sure! For a ukulele in this price range, it actually sounds pretty decent though. Action is a bit high, but due to the bridge and nut being bone, that's fixable. Overall if it weren't for the fact that it's crooked, I would have no complaints. Also note that I received the darker color like one of the reviewers here. If Aosdin is not going to ship the color "as advertised", they should buck up and at least post that there is an alternate color (dark) that might be shipped. I actually like the darker color so it's not like no one will like it. It's better to be up front than to appear to be "baiting and switching"!I'm going to give Aosdin one more chance and purchase another ukulele. If it also turns out crooked, I'm going to return it for refund and update this review.UPDATE... Well, I got the second ukulele and the bridge is off by about 1/16". Why Aosdin doesn't take more time in centering this thing is beyond me! Considering it's not that far off though, I'll keep it. I lowered the action a bit at the bridge and playability is better now. Sustain and volume is not the best on this uke, but given the price it's a good practice uke for beginners. Milling at the head stock could also be better done by Aosdin as it's rough cut and off on this uke. I'll raise the rating a star, but that's about all I can muster.

Never heard of Aosdin. Pleasantly surprised.
I've never heard of Aosdin, you can't really find anything about them online. Closest I got was a few forum posts of people talking about them. Apparently they're based out of Taiwan, but I could be wrong on that,I was drawn to this instrument, primarily because it's advertised as Koa, for this price it would be a pretty good deal. And yeah, it's kinda too good to be true. It's a Koa Laminate. They say it's HPL (which is some fancy lamination process to make it more resistant or something. Martin guitars uses it) I don't know the validity on it, but it's worth a mention.I like this ukulele. It's inexpensive, looks nice enough and sounds nearly as good as the top brand names. It's a beautiful looking instrument, and even if it's isn't solid wood it still sounds really nice, it comes with Aquila strings and all metal tuners. It's also nice that the nut and saddle are actual bone, you normally get a plastic on cheaper models. There are no stickers or any tags. No paper work. On the inside of the ukulele there is no serial number, it just had the model number. A100C printed on the label. It's a good weight, I notice this whole "convex body" thing or whatever thats said in some of the description. It feels nice to hold it. Its also very smooth. On to the nitpicks. The saddle is a bit high, nothing I can't fix. It still sounds perfect either way, it's just a bit more effort on the higher frets. The body doesn't look so much like some of the pictures. Kinda, flat looking almost. It has the gloss, but you can tell it's a laminate pattern pretty quick. All in all, should you get this? Are you "pro ukemeister" that only wants the most pure Koa? Then nope. But if you want to take a small chance on a company no one has heard of I say "Yeah" I'm pretty pleased with my purchase. It sounds good and can be made to sounds better. Are there better concert ukes at this price? Maybe, but like I said I was drawn to this one. It has some charm. The Aosdin logo is pretty striking.tl;dr It's a good ukulele. Not Solid Koa. Saddle is a bit high. Looks nice but not as nice as pictures. Sounds just as good as relatively priced models. Feels nice in the hand. If you want value, this is good value.

Excellent ukulele for this price range
Nice looking wood, excellent string quality, great sound. So far has stayed perfectly in tune- excellent pegs. The bag it comes with is cheap. It smells of awful cheap plastic and has no inner padding, but that's not what I was paying for. This is a very high quality concert ukulele for this price range. I will probably buy a better bag down the line. I would recommend this to a beginner or seasoned player looking for a concert size. I will update in a couple months if anything changes.

Honestly , nice ...
The uke sounds great and of nice quality although I was a bit disappointed by the difference in the brilliance of the wood in one in the picture and the one I received. The uke that I received don't have as high a quality of koa wood in it as the one pictured. The wood is darker and without the gold stripes in the wood grain , but it is built very nicely and sounds terrific ...Even though it's not as pretty , I believe my choice as to not send it back is a good one.
