Nice window
Purchased to put in my cargo trailer camper conversion. Works great. Only complaint is no screens, which is typical for port lights. So I made my own using the cut out as a template.

Good value for the money. Would have given 5 stars if it came with a screen, but I ended up making one.
Excellent value for the money - just wish it came with a window screen. I ended up making one. I used this on my truck camper, which did not have a window in the front wall. I like an opening window there so you can keep a window open at all times, even if it rains. Since the camper did not come with a window there, I was a bit hesitant to modify the structure, so I wanted a pretty small window - this was it. It is designed to be mounted horizontally, but I cut off the drip channel and mounted it vertically. It opens from the inside of the camper, which is what I wanted for security. I made a window screen by laying standard screen across the back of the decorative ring, and then squirting hot melt glue through the screen to attach it to the ring. Then I cut the excess off, and it looks pretty good. To clean the screen I just need to unscrew the decorative ring. Anyway... good value for the money.

Great for the price!
I was replacing a porthole in my boat's head (a.k.a. my boat's bathroom window! :-) and this was perfect. Yeah the holes don't align on the front trim ring to the back trim ring, but this is designed to be screwed into place, not bolted in place, so the holes are meant to be offset. Do I think it would be better to offer an option where the holes are aligned so the unit can be bolted in place, essentially sandwiching the window to the wall? Sure! But I didn't design it and for the price, which for marine applications is easily 75% less that comparable units, this is a winner! Also, the window drain, a.k.a. the weep hole, will only work well if the window is installed in such a way that it's fairly upright. This means if you installed it in a boat wall that is angled, as most boats are, there is a good chance water will pool in the window frame. If you don't wipe-out or blow-out the water from the outside, you'll be in for an awakening experience if you open the window. The window seals nicely and the finger knobs are brainless.Again, given the price, this is a very nice unit.

4 out of 5
My product was used for my ply board truck cap. The thing that I would suggest for anyone is to use sealant around the plastic where it lays against wood, metal, or plastic. Rain came down in buckets and the water seeped in.If you want the window turned around so that you can have the opening on the inside....little bit of water will come inside because of the lip. To avoid the water coming in when you open the window, use a rag, paper towel and wipe the lip area dry.Remember to use water proof caulking that is made for outside not inside. Make sure it doesn't crack, peal, rot, and is molt resistant.

These are awesome, well made and the price is excellent compared to chandelrys. One note they are not tempered glass but are polycarbonate. Makes no difference to me. Installed in a sailboat replacing dead lights. Very happy I think you will be too.

Used for our teardrop trailer.
We used these for a little teardrop trailer. We added screens and they are the perfect width to fit the foam and plywood. They are watertight and were just the right price for our budget on this project. The screws were white and not black, which looks much better than the picture.

Good follow up by shipper
They are as they appear. Good follow up by shipper. Just an aside. The issue with screens, they're easy to make. With the window hinged in the up position, the space between the latch or hinge brackets and the opening is about 3/4 inch. That's the same width of the screen kit frame you can pick up at HD with the corners. Because the rim of the opening is raised to mate with the window gasket, I added 1/4 inch stick-on weather strip around the outside of the screen frame so it lays flat. Costs about 5 bucks to make each window.

Good Value
I did not install this portlige because it was too small for my boat however it did give me a chance to evaluate the product. Although the product is not as robust as the original equipment on my boat it is of good quality. The product seems to be well made and engineered. I especially liked the glass lense which is even better than my original portlithes with their plastic lenses. I wish this product came in a slightly larger size as I would not hesitate to purchase it. Its very simply a great bargain and a good choice for replacing older portlights.
