Tiny cap-full in my birdbath keeps green fungus clear. No harmful chlorine in product. I clean birdbath with chlorine sometimes, and like to replace water for fresh water every 1-3 weeks. Product well outlasts my birdbath schedule to have happy birds, also providing bird feeder of sunflower seeds. Eventually birdbath gets leaves and dirty from birds taking baths ! Birdbath Protector works 5+ times better than expected. Recommend...will be re-ordering. UPDATE 2+months later...Wow...really working great...NO green slime has been seen, unlike before used this protector. Only 1/2 cap per week working well to keep green stuff out. Discontinued.....should get another bottle, but later, hopefully ! And talked to customer service before buying...wonderful thoughts.

Helps with algae growth somewhat. You still need to change your birdbath water every 3 days or so in hot weather.

I have struggled to keep my birdbath clean and free of algae. I never saw birds drink from my birdbath until I began using this product. I was pleased to see quite a group of birdies all perched on the rim of the bath drinking happily. This product is safe and effective, and you use so very little to keep the water fresh. I am very pleased with this product.

It does a good job of keeping the birdbath from getting slimy, but the water still has to be dumped each day to get rid of bird droppings. And then the solution has to be added again. In the end, the solution only stays in the water for the day. Unless I'm doing it all wrong, I'm not sure it's worth it.

Used it today, I semi cleaned all my bird baths then filled and added this. By evening all was good and I could see a difference.

This does a really good job of keeping my fountain birdbath clean. I hate thishas been dicontinued!!!! When I run out, now I will have to look for one that isas good as this is on keeping birdbath clean. So disappointed about this beingdiscontinued!!!! Good product. Fast delivery too!!!

Twice I was mailed fountain protection by mistake. Then the bottle was sent in a leaking envelope. My original order was backlogged and then canceled. The product sort of works. Sort of because it hasn't eliminated the calcium deposits left in the basin - after the evaporation of the water by the sun. The company that makes the chemical for protecting the birdbath - is located in Wisconsin and doesn't sell to consumers. I simply wanted a product that would protect my investment in a nice birdbath and wouldn't kill the birds that drink out of it. Seams incredible but the answer to eliminating my calcium deposits and quenching the thirst of the birds is an on going problem. Amazon did credit my credit card but the problem is still notanswered.
