Perfect Fit
I ordered these Kenwood KFC-1665S 6.5 (4-pack) speakers for my 1996 F150. They were easy to install and fit the factory holes. I used a pair in my 96 F150 and a pair in my 95 F350. These are a great replacement for the original factory speakers and sound much better.

Good sound for older 96 Subaru
Recently, I had an issue with a speaker that started to fail, the coil was rubbing on one speaker, I was unable to correct it. It was a Pioneer 2 way speaker I bought back in 2010. Those speakers lacked bass, but had excellent clarity. As I listen to classical allot, I need clarity. But I also didn't have a budget for speakers. I needed to go cheap, the KFC-1666S (the newer model) came up allot as a good budget speaker with good clarity. I can say now, that these KFC-1665S are very similar, in fact, some ways the 6S is cheaper made than the 5S. So for about 11 dollars a speaker, I picked these up, and I was very very happy about the result. There is a lack of clarity verse my Pioneer speakers, but more bass (which I would suggest a sub woofer for bass.) This is not something that takes away from my experience; as I added Subaru OEM tweeters and clarity is restored on the high frequency range. (They mount on the mirror bracket for my Subaru, but later models have it in the door, most generally next to the door handle.) Now I would not get a 3-way speaker, as the larger area the tweeters take up, the less the mid range cone can output, so the added mirror mount tweeters allowed for the same effect as the 3 way speakers without sacrificing overall performance. Now, instead of Pioneer in the front, and polk audio in the back, I have a uniform sound all through my 96 Subaru Legacy Outback. I would recommend it for people who want good sound, in an older car, or just don't want to pay much for speakers but need an upgrade or replacement. Sound is good, bass is improved over OEM, or even my older TSG1643R Pioneer speakers that had a coil failure on one. Tweeters are a bit underwhelming in comparison to the pioneers, but just barely.

Sounds So Good!
I thought the factory speakers that I had in my 2012 Honda CR-V sounded great. All up until both my driver's side speakers went out. Once I ended up ordering two sets of these Kenwood speakers along with an aftermarket installation (mounting and wiring adapter) kit. Now my factory stereo actually even more clearer than it ever has. It literally sounds fantastic.

Cheap speakers that work well.
Not much need to write here but yea…. They are cheap but have ok sound quality.Have a stereo with low wattage (15-30w) 4 channel outputs? These will probably sound as good as anything when hooked to that.

Overall pretty good speakers
Overall pretty good speakers. Definitely an upgrade from stock. These speakers noticeably hit the mid ranges a lot better than factory. Bass range is low, and what I mean by that is that if you're looking for speakers that will rattle your windows- these aren't them. Although, they do rattle some parts of my vehicle (hey it's an old truck so yeah). Quick delivery and easy install. Plenty of options for hole locations. It comes with cover grille but wasn't needed for my install. Great speakers for the price! If you're looking for an upgrade within the budget, these are for you. Add a sub(s) and you're golden. Btw, this review is coming from an audio nut.

Great value
Upgraded factory speakers with 2 sets of these, paired with 10" sub 800 watt underwear amp. The radio rocks! However, Bluetooth or aux input requires more value. I'll note my aftermarket receiver is a budget radio with 50 watt ×4. Having said that, without the bass from the sub, these 4 door speakers are slightly better than the factory sound. Radio sound smokes the factory. Also, I did not route new speaker wire because I didn't want to compromise the factory harnesses. Despite that, for $45 I feel I've gotten a good upgrade for the amount invested.

Great value for the $$
Only thing I didn't like was the include wire harness. It's got to be the smallest gauge wire ever made. No way the included wire can handle that kinda wattage. Otherwise they are a good set of speakers for replacing factory set and they can easily accommodate an amplifier (highly recommend you use one). Installed in son's car with a small scoshe amp and they sound pretty darn good. Not going to get a TON of bass without distorted highs but that's normal with 2-way speakers. All in all they handle pretty well and I would have no problem using them again.
