Great read
One of the best books I’ve read lately. A storey of champagne maker in France in WW11. It is a tale of love, betrayal, mistakes, heroism, and forgiveness snd and an ending I certainly didn’t expect

A well written book that provides insight to the pain and struggles of world war. An emotional journey that has you hooked from start to finish. I highly recommend this book.

Harmel is my all time favourite HF author.
Tragic but beautiful story, another great read by a fantastic author. The way she makes you really understand the characters it’s like being transported into their minds and you feel every emotion as though you are living it! A true 5 ⭐

a story of heartbreak, love, betrayal and peace
What a beautifully told story! The author's dedication to research is evident on every page; her words vividly brought the setting to life. I felt as though I was right there, experiencing everything from the detailed art of champagne production to the daily struggles of life during the war.Spoiler Alert: Despite its fictional nature, I found Ines's recurring guilt to be a touch exaggerated, though it undeniably shaped the story's core.

All bun, no burger.
This brings little that is new to a well covered topic. However, high drama will never fail if the writing is strong, and this is the problem. The switching between to time lines lessens the tension and there is little enough of that already. It has a good plot but, in the end, it is 'all bun and no burger'.

It’s written in the stars
A powerful story of love, betrayal and regret. A story that unfolds beautifully with both sadness and happiness in equal measure
