This product made my hardwood floor look so much better. It cleaned well. I love it!

The steam mop itself is pretty solid. It is easily assembled, is intuitive to use, and functions as intended. It steams in less than a minute, can be detached and used as a hand steamer, and has a long cord. All pluses.Now here comes the serious part of the review, which is regarding its germ claims. Overall, if you read all the studies, steam mops in theory will kill germs, bacteria and viruses, so that's good. However, when you read further, you'll discover that they are only killed at temperatures above 220 degrees for a period of at least 10 minutes of constant steam. What this means for steam mops is not good. First, nobody is leaving a steam mop on one area of the floor for ten straight minutes. Two, while most steam mops (including this one, which I verified with a thermometer) get up to 220 degrees, this temperature is only attained at the nozzle where the steam first comes out. Any farther out, and even an inch away, you are losing at least 20 degrees.So while it's a good steam mop overall, do not depend on this to kill viruses like Covid-19.

I got this specifically for our three season room which is poured concrete and takes a real bashing from us trampling in mud from the garden and the wood pile we keep there.The steam mop is really easy to put together. The parts just a slot into each other. I tried one of the two mop pads but the floor is really too rough for it but you can see from the photo how effective it is.Next I tried the power steam attachment to which is similar to a pressure washer and puts out a great blast of steam. Ideal for targeting areas but I ended up using it on the whole floor and it did a great job as shown in the before and after. I haven’t tried it on our finished wood floor yet but when I do I’ll adjust the heat down.There are also a wire brush attachment and two brush attachments that you could use on a carpeted area or rug but do make sure you test a small area first.I think it did a great job. It takes seconds to heat up. There’s a trigger on the handle to activate the steam rather than an on off button. I’ve tried to think of flaws but I’m really not coming up with any. It’s lightweight and easy to use and comes with a plastic surround for the pads to help it glide over carpet.

I like it! This is super easy to use, and my floors look WAY better after doing so. Everything clicks together easily, so assembly is simple and quick. There's a little (very little) tank for the water that just pops into place. It's the perfect size for one room, but you'll need to refill it if you go on to another - which isn't really a big deal, so no worries there. While the instructions say this only takes about 30 seconds to heat up, I'm really not happy with the results until it's been running for a few minutes and gets up to temperature fully - there's a big difference once it gets going. You can definitely tell where you've been, and it leaves the floor wet without being soaked enough to stay that way for more than a few minutes. And while I'm sure the heat helps with sanitization, I've been going the extra step with this by spritzing a little cleaning spray on the floor as I go. Sanitization has never been more important than it is now, so I'm not taking any chances with it. Regardless, that seemed to work well, and my floors are left looking fresh and smelling clean.There's also the option to use this as a hand steamer. Honestly, I already have one of those, so that's just a bonus for me. All of the pieces are there, and everything else has been simple, so I imagine that would be as well. I love the versatility of it, so it's a nice option to have.Overall, I don't understand all of the negative reviews. My last steam mop was a Shark, and this is maybe not quite as good, but it works well and has a few extra bells and whistles that many of its competitors don't have. I also really love the triangle head, because it allows you to get into corners and awkward spots easily - so there are a lot of good things about this model.

I was excited to receive this Sharper Image 2-in-1 Steam Mop, with 9 accessories. I was looking for something to steam hard surfaces, carpet, showers/bathroom, clothes and more. This seemed like the best option, with all the accessories available with it. It features dual capability, by being able to switch from steam mopping and cleaning or removing the extension pole and using the other accessories. The nine accessories included are: mop head, mop pad, utility brushes, extension wand, carpet glider, jet nozzle, and more. The steam cleaner has a 8.45 ounce water tank, that has the ability to heat up in 25 seconds. This provides 15 minutes of continuous steam off each tank, so this honestly isn't a lot of time! Who wants to have to refill the tank every 15 minutes to do a job?! Not me! Very inconvenient! I can say it is a chemical free way of cleaning, but it does not have the ability to sanitize as well as the product claims. Yes, it can clean tough to clean surfaces such as ceramic tile, grout, sealed wood flooring, laminate and more. But you will not get a 100% sanitized surface afterwards. I have used other steam mop type products in the past and this definitely it not my favorite. I do not see it lasting long either. It's not built for durability or for floor usage. I am disappointed.
