I bought these for bike rides. My feet get a little chilly. I tried them out by themselves, and the heating wire didn't feel especially warm - but that seemed to be because there wasn't enough insulation to keep the heat in. Once I put on my shoes, I could feel the toasty warm. They are designed to be worn with shoes. I think if they were any stronger, they would risk getting too warm, and that's why they are mild. It also makes the battery last longer. So, all in all, they seem good for outdoor activities.

These socks worked ok, but they weren't worth $40 to me. It turns out the heating strip is only about two inches wide, running around your foot just behind (not over) the toes. The socks are tight enough that they take some effort to get on and off. They'd probably work well in shoes, but for around the house, I'd hoped for more.

After much research, we purchased this pair of warming socks for my husband. He's feet get cold all the time. With 2+ foot of snow on the ground, and working in the shop on cold concrete, now was the time to try them. He wore them Saturday and Sunday...was happy with them. Feet were not cold and he was not grouchy from feet getting cold. Today I washed on cold water...delicate and hung to dry. We will see how long they last. 1 battery charge held for the weekend. So far very happy.

I really love this socks. My feet are always cold in the winter time and I thought about trying these battery operated socks, but I was a little weary of it. I got these about a month ago and I’ve been wearing them nonstop!! I like the warmth they keep my feet so toasty and cozy it they’re amazing. They are so comfortable and I really like the thickness. They’re not overly sick where I can’t wear my own boots with them so they fit very nicely and I’m super happy with them!!

Good instructions on batteries and charging but hard to get the cable into the small slot on the battery. Socks are a bit tight on the calf. Heat was good and kept my feet warm for the whole day on the lowest setting. Pleased with them and looking forward to using them next time I'm out sledding in the snow.

Bought these for Alpine skiing and winter mountain biking...The Alpine skiing was not a good application since the wires that heat up are large enough that in a good tight ski boot, they were very uncomfortable. In my winter mountain biking boots, however, they were GREAT.Good quality product that works as advertised. Good workmanship on the cotton socks; they heat up nicely and stay that way (on medium) for many hours.

I like to sit out on the porch with a cup of tea, even in cold weather. Coat, gloves and lap blanket all helped, but my feet were always cold. These socks now keep my feet toasty warm and I couldn't be happier.

Got it on time as usual for Amazon. Charged the batteries, put them in the socks and connected the wires. Clicked till the red lite was on and waited 30 minutes, nothing. Not warm. Tried it again the next day, same result. Sent them back and looking for something else.

These socks are a lovely fit and I was quite pleased with them. UNTIL, I realised that no matter how long I left the batteries charging, they never fully charged and the socks only keep warm for a couple of hours. I wrote to Hailicare to complain and was asked to send a photo/video of the problem along with proof of purchase, which I did. I have heard nothing back since then. this product has a one year guarantee and I am not happy.......

Bought these to use at work as my feet always freeze with having to wear Wellingtons all day working on a farm, I don't find much difference between the 3 settings so I just have them on the low setting so that the battery lasts the longest, which is most of the day. It's not got above freezing over the last few days and my feet have been fine, yes they get a bit cool at times but they don't get painfully cold like they did with ordinary socks. I also wear a pair of Bama sockets aswell on top of the socks.

Far to tight, no way are they the size they say unless you like really tight socks, I'm a size 9 and they crippled my toes, by lunchtime on the first day of wearing them I was in agony, I could feel the wires squeezing my toes, I didn't even turn them on, I want to return them but what a mess around it is, they sell you them in one click but give you a headache to return them! See the picture of my toes when I finally got to take my boots off.

The heating area is quite small so they definitely wouldn't keep you warm on a motorbike. However, if you combine them with disposable heated insoles I believe they would do a tremendous job.

Received these overall quality is very good however I found that they do not really warm the toes as the wire that makes the sock warm does not go all the way to the end of the socks. Would recommend generally but not for very cold or extreme colds.
