You would think that after opening a factory sealed box, you would just take out this small fan, plug it into an electrical outlet and it would just work! Well, then you would be wrong! This fan requires a Phillips head (called a + in India) screwdriver and a certain amount of DIY assembly. The vertical rotating turbine needs to be fitted and secured properly at the top end, and for this you need to disassemble the fan first. So you take off the plastic side grill (air intake on the left) and you'll find two pieces rattling around inside the body: a metal/rubber washer and a plastic anchor. (No, they're not secured in a small Zip lock bag!) First you need to remove the two small screws in the center. Then you take the turbine out, put the washer on the top end of the center shaft, place the turbine back with shaft where it came out from, place the plastic anchor lining up with the screw holes and then put the two small screws you removed back on to secure the anchor. Now you put the grill back on, secure it, and remove the thin plastic sheet protector from the grill (so that the air can flow in). NOW you can plug the fan into an electrical outlet and turn it on! It provides a good air flow up to about 10 feet. So good for bathrooms and kitchens, nothing bigger. Enjoy!

The fan doesn't serve the purpose at all with poor quality from crompton. Firstly it.comes with broken parts not once but twice, then you have to call the crompton service engineer to fix it. Even then it will not work properly. If you need any air from it best to put your face on the fan or tie it your body. It can be cute/stylish to have this fan in your kitchen but that's the only purpose it serves. If you are looking for a kitchen decor go for it. I bought it even after reading some bad reviews thinking it is their bad luck and may be crompton improved the quality, but it stays. If you are thinking you will get a better product even after reading this review, better get a lottery, high chances of you getting a prize there than relying on crompton. Cheers.

Like most of the users mentioned, received the fan with a broken U clamp for the top bearings. Don't know if it's because of the rocking shippment or poor quality of the plastics. Defently when the fan runs could feel the plasticy smell... No big deal in fixing the plastic clamp. Just buy a 5.Rs quick fix glue and attach the broken part or use a small washer to screw the pieces (may be Amazon should start recommend that as "Frequently brought together")While on swing mode fan makes more noise...Not suitable for personal fan the blow is direct to your face, escapacilly ppl who uses phone and sits next to it the other person on the line would hear the fan noise as if you are travelling some where....The filter mesh is of really poor quality, can easily wear off with just couple of washes...Good thing is blow is nice and can reach up to 7-8 ft on full mode. Need to check the longitivity of the product.The company should make move to address these issues and make the product better.

Very cute blower fan. Ok for covering air flow in small places like kitchen otta, dining table, study table, mandir corner where ceiling fan air doesn't reach properly. Quite quiet fan. Today is first day to get delivery. Let us see how far it will go. 24 months warranty is mentioned on box. Packaging by Crompton was well covered by Amazon seller which reached us at Nasik from Karnataka safely. No damage. Best feel at the first look and matches exactlly as shown in product images published by Amazon. I see there are some reviews showing unhappiness about it's air throw, but removing company fitted plastic paper sticker from surface of filter is required for proper air delivery. Otherwise air will chock up inside and proper air throw will not come out. Really speaking it is sufficient for one person that too from a near distance 5 to 7 feet.

Stopped working within days. Replacement works but looks like it has been tampered with, like some internal components has been replaced. It is not a very powerful fan, and at 1500 rupees, its not very good.

First I have received a defective piece, but was replaced within 3 days, thanks to Amazon. The built quality is very good , it is not so noisy. The airflow is good, but it enough only for a single person. It is best suited for small kitchen , it would be good if the blower size had little bit wider. Value for money as it is from Crompton, I had brought this for Rs 1200 only during the sale.

I loved the design & impressed with the product finish, it looks good in kitchen. This fan has specially been made to help you out when you work on gas stove. Direction can be set & the fan can be mounted vertically, horizontally or can be put on stand as per the need be. It only consumes 38Watt as written on the product. Swing & airflow both are good. It has a filter on one side which is for air inflow but that doesnot mean it will blow cool air. I dont regret buying it for my small kitchen, very useful & smart purchase when compared to ceiling fan for kitchen or small exhaust fans. I bought it at 50% discount, MRP is 3000 Rs, Thanks amazon.
