Excellent product. Made to exact dimensions and heat retention is excellent. They are definitely more expensive but the last pair I had lasted 10 years and only broke because I dropped one removing it from the Kamadoe. LOL

Anything by Kamado Joe is going to be a quality product, and these are no exception. In addition to serving as heat deflectors in my KJ, I use them similarly in my gas grill for baking, etc., when I need to protect the bottom of whatever I’m cooking. Some other knock-off brands are cheaper, but for my use, the Kamado Joe brand is tried and true!

I love this product. I finally smoked ribs without having any burnt bottom. This heat deflector allowed for a good steady smoke and delicious moist ribs. I am so glad I ordered it and definitely recommend.

They are basic ceramic plates. I feel they are damn near impossible to clean. But they work just like they should. They are slightly brittle but it’s not designed to be tossed around I suppose.

HEAT DEFLECTOR: Just like the original on my Classic ii. I had cracked one of the half moons so it is nice to get an original replacement and even have one for backup.CAST IRON HALF MOON: a little pricey but high quality. Comes with a cast iron handling stick. Very large surface area to work with. And a substantial raised edge on the circular perimeter on both sides. Great for smashburgers and other things where a solid surface is desired.
