Very nice pasta drying rack w/ some of my fun tips on getting more out of it.
Now I really like this pasta rack. The wood was smooth & I had no problem w/ assembly. It has a rustic look which I love for my pasta drying racks. I truly don't think one is enough if you plant yo really make pasta. It would have been better if instructions were included' the box was open on receipt so there may have been instructions. As far as doing long pasta, yes you can. To accomplish drying the very long pasta, do not lay the pasta on a single drying dowel but stretch them out across 3-4 or all the dowels, depending on how long you'd like your pasta. Again, as I explained earlier, I use 4 drying racks when I dry my pasta in order to obtain the amount & length of pasta I desire. The wood is sturdy and smooth. I found no problems w/ stability. I'm happy w/ this rack & I hope some of my suggestions help you when making your pasta! Have fun & try some new ingredients you can alter recipes, customize them for your kids sneak in veggies. How about an Italian night w/ spaghetti done in white (regular pasta), red (beet added to the pasta) & green pasta (spinach pasta.

A thorough review of the adequacy and the inadequacies of this pasta drying rack.
This thing is all about fitting in the box. That's fine as far as it goes. But it's kinda shaky when set up. You need to be able to remove the horizontal dowels to hang the pasta as it comes out of the pasta machine--that's sure easier than trying to collect and spread them out evenly by hand. But the dowels are awfully tight in there. I had to borrow a stronger set of muscles to have them removed, and sand them so they would go in and come out easily. Wish it were a little taller. If you like super long spaghetti or fettuccine, well, you're not going to have the height here. This also is not much use for a larger batch of pasta. If you're making pasta for 2 or 3, then great. If you have a bigger family, you'll want a bigger pasta drying rack. That said it works for me, as long as my kitten will stay off the counter. Twice she's walked through a curtain of drying pasta (ew) and knocked the whole thing down. Oh how fun that is to play with, huh? All the dangly tasty eggy things! Fun! Get down, kitty get down off the counter, get down. Maybe I need to buy a squirt bottle, eh?

Nice rack at a great price. I would buy another but...
Of course the tines are removable, that's the entire point for buying this product. Trying to put raw pasta on tines an inch apart would be ludicrous. I simply catch the pasta with the tine as it comes out of the machine, cut it, then insert tine into set up rack. No fiddling with a handful of pasta. The height of the rack makes for a perfect length of pasta. Info says they aren't removable, don't know why, would have sent it back. Yes,it's a bit shaky for the crown jewels, for pasta it's perfect. Easy to move when loaded. Keep tines wiped with mineral oil. I would buy another, but instead, I drilled holes in the back of the top bar, inserted my own dowels for twice the drying space, may need to weight the leg. Broken down with tines removed it fits in a plastic shopping bag for storage, taking up 60% less space that ridiculous box it comes in.

Sturdy & Folds Flat
Nice drying rack. It may be difficult for someone with large hands to use. I was hoping the dowels came out-I thought a prior review said they did. They are firmly glued in!I just started making pasta, so I need to work on making the length uniform & not too long.A pound of pasta fills up this rack. Be sure to dust the dowels with flour, Sotheby’s pasta doesn’t stick.

Absolutely Worth It If You Want No-Stick Pasta! Fantastic Product!
This was a very sturdy piece and easy to set up. It also holds quite a bit of pasta -- about 1.5 - 2 pounds. I didn't even space each noodle out -- I overlapped them to get more on each "arm" - and they still dried nicely without sticking together. I just made sure to flour my sheets again before cutting (as suggested by my recipe) and it really helped them to not stick even when overlapping them on this rack. The rack DEFINITELY took up less counter space than trying to lay all that pasta out on the counter would have; I have a big counter and still wouldn't have had room to lay it all out). I would definitely recommend this rack to anyone. Also, shipping was Prime so that was great.

Adequate, but not fantastic
When I received this item, one of the spindles had fallen out and had to be re-attached. I had hoped that the rack would simply fold up for storage and not have to be taken apart. It only meets that expectation halfway. The legs rotate in, but the top rack must be removed and re-attached in a downward position. It's not really a "big" deal to do this, except that the holes for the dowels are not drilled perfectly in line and don't fit well. I had to fuss with it to get it back together. Also, the wood the rack is made of is fairly rough. I don't think it will be a problem, but just not as good as I had hoped. I'm sure it will function adequately, but I'd hoped for less futzing.

Very happy with this product.
I love that the design is so simple yet very well done. This contains no metal or plastic parts. It is simply put together with dowels and bored out holes in the major pieces. It is so simple to put together and then to collapse for storage.I would consider treating the wood with an oil to preserve it so it doesn't stain or warp after many uses. Cleaning should be delicate as leaving water on the wood can warp the product.

encombrant a plat
