Very nice little mitre box
I used this for cutting dried rolled-out pieces of metal clay to make boxes. The lip to grab the edge of the table is handy for keeping it steady. I haven’t used the little pegs.

Great product within its limits
I am on my third one of these. Within the limits of their design, they are great tools. As many have commented, these are made of plastic. They will wear over time if you are not careful. They key is to use light even strokes. You are nut cutting 2x4s. I own several of the aluminum miter boxes that others would suggest you use. Mine have all has large, sloppy gaps to prevent the saw from binding and produce less than satisfactory results. The worst wear will be to base of the thing as you cut through the wood. It would probably help to add a piece of thin wood to act as a sacrificial base.I have used these miter boxes mainly for building wooden ships and planes and love the ease and accuracy the provide. The lip on the bottom edge allows you to brace it against your workbench or table edge for stability. The comments about it only being good for balsa are not valid. I cut mainly hardwoods like walnut and mahogany with this, and as long as you don't try to rush the cut, it works very well.Could it be better? Of course. I'd like to see lugs on the side to screw it down. I'd also like to see some kind of work holding system added that works. The pins provided are not very useful for the work I do. The price is the redeemer though. I don't mind replacing this every couple years at such a low price.

Good hobby saw!
Very nice saw! Works well! I have found that it is more durable than a Tester's razor saw. Much stronger with a handle that doesn't detach. It is larger than a Testors razor saw. More box is plastic but had so far proved handy. The pins are easy to lose but again proved to be handy!

Not the smoothest sawing
This product is what most people recommend. Maybe I just don't have the proper skillset, but I found the sawing not particularly smooth--kind of jerky. The mitre box is nice for cutting angles. Another reviewer had a good tip to add a piece of junk wood underneath the item you're cutting, so as not to cut into the actual mitre box, which I found very helpful. I haven't found anything else rated better, so maybe my expectations are too high, and this is just the best that it gets with a pull saw.

Great little tool!
Bought this to help in construction of my first dollhouse & its furniture.Easy to use by a complete novice at woodworking of any kind.Works best when to work surface: I used wide painter's tape (wlhat I had at hand), though a good utility tape would be more than adequate to secure this to the edge of a table or other standSaw itself is sharp enough for the woods I've been cutting - pine, basswood, balsa & MDF/composite board - but quite safe because of the angle & closeness of the teeth. I've used it to cut various plastics, too, with good results.Novice note: When cutting smallbpieces, account for the thickness of the blade when laying out multiple pieces on the same piece of wood!I would definitely buy this again, should I need to, & would recommend it to a friend.

Fron All Angles
This was the lest expensive Miter Box listed, I like it excellent for the price. I use mine to make inlays, that involves glue-lots of glue. So no matter what I buy I will have to replace and that will be with anouther one of these. If you hold it up and look @ it from 90° angle it's shaped like capital J(with the "T" top). So one lip hangs over the side- as good as clamps. I place on top of 2x4 with the back facing me since it's packaged with a pull saw( cut on pull only). The plastic can be a drawback if you go @ it like a crazed beaver chewing up the angeled slots. The angels are accurate 30°,45°,60°.67.5°, and the completing angle 22.5°. The 1/8" thick plastic slots are cut at the proper angle, so if your chew plastic you may be using too much force or thick saw. I like the three peg Cam clamps thay fit into the box. The columns have a peg whole every1/2" and each column is offset 1/4". So you have good Controle over the wood slippage. Hope all the detaisl help but if treat it like its supposed to be treated like a hobbie miter is a good tool

Didn’t last
Everything was fine at first. But shortly after it was full and wouldn’t cut the thinness of material
