Cheap plastic, so don't be rough on it
Definition - shocking a well: adding chlorine bleach after the pump was pulled, the purpose of which is to kill bacteria that may have been introducedWe had to shock our well as part of a project to get us more water. Of course, this is followed by a period of alternatively flushing the well and letting it recover over at least a day, in order to reduce the chlorine concentration until it is at safe levels. Since we knew how much water was in our well (how many feet of water times 1.5 gallons per foot), using this device was MUCH more accurate than just running the pump for a set period of minutes each time. Though it was by far the least expensive part of the project I personally think it made the whole process a lot easier to deal with and was a great tool in boosting my confidence that I'd not run the well dry - consequently burning out the pump (water keeps it cool). Is it cheap plastic? Yup, so don't abuse it or purchase it thinking it's a pro-grade tool.Is the display tiny? Yup, but still sufficient and easy enough to read. Are the buttons marked? Nope, so read the little pamphlet it came with or experiment - there are two buttons. How hard can it be.I'd definitely buy it again.

With some respect for what it is - I am glad I got it, and I have already reccomended it to a friend
VERY Happy I bought it. It cut my RV/Travel Trailer Black tank wash out time in HALF; as observed by my wife.I use this to monitor/measure how many gallons I put into the Black tank when it's time to flush. This prevents me from having to go inside to click the button (assuming those buttons and float measures actually work). As long as I know the capacity of my Black Tank I know EXACTLY how many gallons I'm filling it up with (for wash out purposes).I was hesitant to buy this product especially after reading reviews of this unit and other identical looking units but sold under a different name having HORRIBLE reviews of the unit cracking, coming apart, failing etc... but I decided to take the chance and I'm glad I did.#1 Disclosure: I am NOT using this under pressure - meaning I never intend for the internals of this to be subject to line pressure ahead of a cut off. After thinking about why the unit failed for others it made me wonder if other units were over tightened - trying to seal the unit against the hose. Before I even put water to it I replaced the "factory" O-Ring with a garden hose specific O-Ring (it was a snug fit and I felt more confident it would seal). With the new (thicker) O-Ring installed I also wanted to alleviate any stress on the female threads (incase that was a point of failure). So I immediately connected this unit to one of those 6" garden hose extensions with the spring wrapped around it.Only tighten tight enough to seal out the leaks; it's no made of metal and was never intended for high torque; and good thing - there's no need to torque it crazy tight. The first time I used it I was extremely happy with how it performed. If it breaks in the future I'll probably buy another one and find a way to mount it in a rigid fixture so there are no stresses applied to the small unit. (So Far So good).

Broke within munutes
Pur this on hose bib to measure gpm for garden irrigation. Got a strange reading so decided to check again in a few minutes. Came back to find it had blown apart and had water pouring at full blast into my yard. Total waste of $$.

Breaks rather easily
Works well but I've bought 3 (broken two) of them. It will break if you "bend" it while disconnecting or while pulling the hose too hard. I've bee looking for a similar flowmeter that is made from metal but they are all very expensive. So I've bought a 6" hose connector extension with a coil spring reinforcement that I hope will take the bending instead of the flow meter, or at least spread out the side load on the device. I've attached the extension to the faucet and placed the flowmeter at the end of the extension, then I'll attach the hose to the meter. I use it to measure flows into our motorhome.

Water Meter
I use it when filling the RV to calculate how full our other tanks are. The one is resetable and gal or li.

Works but not 100% accurate.
The Orbit Water Flow Hose End Water Meter is easy to use and works pretty good; however it's not 100% accurate, I found it to be shy between 3 and 5 gallons. If you want 100% you will have to pay out the top dollar for it. Would I recommend this, absolutely for the dollar mark it's a good product.

Easy way to keep track of water usage.
Used this this summer for our epic RV trip to the arctic ocean. Did not want to haul extra water around, so with this I could fill the tank with exactly the amount I needed. If it was, say, 3 days between available potable water sources and we use 30L of water per day, I would fill 3*30L=90L into the tank. Just like that. Worked flawlessly. Of course, it could also be set to measure in gallons.

Works OK
Works good, just don't pull on the hose very hard, the thread on part will come off.

Garbage! Don’t buy! Can’t return!
Product is garbage, it leaks below the threaded inlet connection. I tightened as much as possible without breaking it (made of plastic). I also tried replacing the gasket.Disappointed that amazon will not allow a return or exchange because they state safety issues because it might contain hydrocarbons. How or why anyone would put hydrocarbons thru a device that’s not rated for it and comes with garden hose threads is beyond me.Don’t buy, if you really need a flow meter look at something else!
