Quality
I recently purchased this sharpening hone after realizing my kitchen knives were barely cutting through tomatoes anymore. I didn’t want to spend a fortune or send them out to be professionally sharpened, so I figured I’d give this a shot—and I’m honestly blown away by the results. The hone feels sturdy and well-made, and the grit (I went with a medium/fine combo) was just right for touching up all my everyday knives. Within minutes, I had my chef’s knife slicing paper like it was butter. It also worked well on my pocketknife and even a dull chisel I had lying around.I appreciate that it doesn’t require oil—just a little water and it’s good to go. Cleaning it was easy, and it hasn’t worn down or dished at all yet after multiple uses. For the price, the performance is seriously impressive. If you’re on the fence or new to sharpening, this is a great entry-level hone that still delivers pro-level results. I’d recommend watching a quick video on sharpening technique to avoid damaging your edge—once you get the hang of it, it’s incredibly satisfying.

Great product
Nice sharpener, works great to get a razor sharp edge. Base is rubber so very slip resistant.

suitable for sharpening knives in general
I have been using natural whetstones up until now, so I feel this artificial whetstone is not enough, but I think it is suitable for sharpening knives in general. However, if you want to sharpen professional knives, I think you should get a natural whetstone.

Totally worth it!!
I used to use sandpaper to sharpen my knives, but after using this, I will never go back!! I let it soak before I use it, then just keep a little water over it while sharpening and it works great. Took one of my wife's kitchen knife that wouldn't cut anything and made it sharp enough that she told me to stop because of how easy it cut.
