Great way to alternatively carry your light!
Great tactical accessory for all of Nitecore's 1" body flashlights. Gives a secondary option to carry your light.

Let's be honest.
This is no switchback… but a switchback wont fit a P23i.It works as intended if you figure out the middle finger works better than your index, both will work but middle finger is more comfortable for me.Also, I had to put a dab of JB weld on the ring where the retention tab is on the clip because it kept sliding around. We will see how well this holds up the next time I bust someones eye socket with my light.

Not a Thyrm Switchback, poor design and function.
Had a Thyrm on my previous Nitecore, which was awesome until I broke my flashlight trying to bust out a windows. Now I just have a Thyrm. The Nitecore finger ring just clips onto the body of flashlight in the middle of the body. Positionally, it feels horrible on the middle finger, which is the only way to hold it without your hand being placed on the hot part of the flashlight when it’s on. The Thyrm, which is screwed into the tail switch area, is more secure, and allows for you to use your pointer finger, which is more comfortable and functional.Lastly, the clip is very catchy- meaning I can’t seem to slide it into my flashlight holder or pocket smoothly. And when I do, the ring sticks out like a sore thumb.I think having a ring to grip your flashlight is extremely beneficial, esp for self defense, and for good grip in wet weather or for foot pursuits.

Pretty good, but it's no Switchback
The finger ring sits too low making it difficult to operate. The clip sits way deeper than the ring, for not apparent reason. You can't put the light any deeper into the pocket than the ring allows, so why is the clip so long/deep? Fixing the first problem would fix the second. Thirdly, the attachment is a little short for most lights, as it is designed for NiteCore lights specifically, but it works ok on a 1" diameter light. Overall though, it's a cheap alternative to the Thyrm Switchback, that's easy to attach.

Weird ring position for a "tac" light
I am sure this is fine for an edc pocket light. It makes indexing the light easier . However I am not sure it is "tac" friendly as far as using it in conjunction with a firearm , the ring position is way too far forward to be useful when " flipping" the light during reloads / manipulations.Still , not terrible and it may all be down to My experiences with this type of accessory on a tac light

Clip
The clit lost tension and when I tried to squeeze them together they never worked the same

Poor quality and design
Not worth the money for a number of reasons. The plastic ring feels cheap, but more importantly it doesn’t fit tightly so it’s very easy to pull off. In a situation where you need to retrieve the light quickly you might be left with just the ring in your hand. It has a break away feature but the “tactical” ring would come off of the flashlight before that happened. Overall this is a big disappointment because the quality of other Nitecore products is exceptional. If you just want a cool way to carry your P20, since it has no place to attach a lanyard, it’s good for that. It does allow you to carry the flashlight loosely and manipulate things with both hands.

Clip comes loose very easily.
Its fine but will come loose every now and then when handling it. Only found it most useful left handed, I'm right handed so using it right handed was all i was able to do no real function.

Praktisches kleines Zubehör.
Entspricht dem was ich gesucht habe um die Hände frei zu bekommen.

Its okay
The product it's self isn't bad but also isn't good... Part of the issue is that the breakaway is actuated way to easily. Also the clip dosnt clamp as hard onto my CI7 as the original pocket clip.So I would loved to have it beefed up.The CI7 has a nother issue. This ring is mounted really far forward which I cant criticize the ring for but there just should be a other solution. So in summary:Is it okay enough to pull your light from your pocket ?YesIs it tough enough to really trust in ?NoBut as always the first step is training to utilize it anyway :)
