Great watch for the money!
I have worn the watch for a little over a week now. The watch arrived securely packed in a box with no apparent damage. Start up was easy - simply remove the plastic piece behind the stem, adjust the time and push the stem back in. During the time I've worn the MDC, it has kept accurate time compared to my other dressier watch. It is comfortable and classy looking with a satin finish case. The word "Infantry" is printed on the clasp. I did not evaluate the watch's waterproof capability since I don't wear my watch in the shower or swimming; however, I did not take any steps to shield the watch when I washed my hands and occasionally splashed water on it with no apparent problems. The MDC could benefit from having a stronger dose of whatever allows it to glow in the dark, as I was never able to read the watch in total darkness. It could also benefit from having slightly larger hour and minute hands since the dial is pretty busy with a lot of other characters. All in all, the MDC seems to be a great entry level watch for a very reasonable price tag! I will take great enjoyment in wearing it in the future.

An amazing field watch at a surprising cost of $24.99
I've purchased this little nifty field watch a few months ago. For the price I must say I'm pleasantly surprised.First, what we know:- Black dial, white Arabic numbers, white indices, and white hour & minute hand, red second hand, and black nylon/cloth strap.- It's runs on a Japanese Miyota 2115 quartz movement.- Case back appears screwdown but is in-fact a pop-top.- Case diameter: 40mm, w/crown: 43mm- Lug to lug (vertical, top to bottom): 50mm- Lug to lug (horizontal): 22mmWhat makes it above and beyond a regular $24.99 watch:- Second hand lines up perfectly with indices.- Minute hand sets exactly even with indices and continues to line up perfectly with minute indices as watch operates.- Price: $24.99. Most field watches costing $25 or less will get the job done, but often do so sloppily and lacking in many areas.- The Miyota quartz keeps excellent time, gaining roughly 3 secs every month. This could hardly be considered unreliable. What it's lacking:This MDC field watch came so close to being the end all, be all of super reasonably priced field watches. The only area where it could use some improvement:- Lume. Lume is bright after first initial charge, however it quickly fades in less than 10 minutes. So there you have it. Unless you're a lume nerd and aren't happy unless your wrist glows neon green for hours, I believe most will be happy with this easy to obtain, easy on the wallet field watch by MDC.MDC, if you're reading. Take your perfection of the all black field watch and offer it in different colors. Army Green, Field Khaki, White dial w/Blue straps. Add a little color variety and you'll easily earn a commanding grasp on the affordable field watch market. Thanks for reading - Hope this helps those still undecided!

Excellent watch for the price
For the price, it's five stars, compared to all watches, I give it a four. It keeps good time, rugged and looks good. While on travel I forgot my watch, so I ordered this very affordable watch. I got it right away and it did its job, but I’m still wearing it as it’s comfortable and looks professional I work in an environment that is rough on watches and usually don’t wear one. This watch is holding up. I was showering with it on, but noticed moisture went in and you can see it under the lens, so don’t shower or go swimming with it.

Honestly, an amazing watch value (Update: Amazing service too!)
I had been looking for a 40mm, field-style, battery powered utility watch for literally years. Tried some more expensive brands (returned for various reasons), and then a Timex, but the date broke after a few months and it's extremely loud. This field watch is perfect in almost every way. It's virtually silent, has kept time over the few weeks I've had it, and has survived showers, etc.The main downside is the night visibility is not great; the luminescence is barely visible even after being out in the California sun all day. But so far it has only been a small annoyance. My only other worry is about the durability, but at this price, I'm just hoping for the best. Honestly one of the best watch purchases I've made in a long time.Update: About a week after my initial review it appeared that a seal had failed and condensation fogged up the lens. Interestingly the watch still worked (but I couldn't see it most of the time). I reached out to the company, and Dora got right back to me and sent a replacement out immediately. I wish more companies had service like that!
