We got these for a party and they were super nice!

I needed a large set of party glasses quicky. This was a great price, Libbey is a reliable company- and they did not disappoint.I would not withold a star for this but it is worth the mention; wine affictionados and tastemakers of glassware, prefer the thinnest and often wider bowl more narrow mouthed glasses with no lip whatsoever.BUT- when you have a party and lots of new people over, that is actually the thing you DON'T necessariliy want at all. I wanted glasses that had a good real shape- for people who swirl, sniff, watch the 'legs' on a wine. But NOT so thin and delicate as to break (no injuries thank you) or cost a mint and chip (or explode like the thin ones) and NOT cost an arm and a leg, and to have mouths wide enough to rinse and clean and re-use quickly.If you want paper thin, high end wine glasses, get some for yourself and few guests.If you want to survive a number of parties with glasses that are not 'cheap looking' but are durable enough, and a nice balance to accommodate red or white- not too small and narrow, not to round and globe-y, these are good quality, don't break but aren't clumsy and 'industrial' and don't cost much for a nice large set, so you can serve a large party or don't have to wash glasses mid-event.

These wine glasses are exactly what I have been looking for! I had six of these glasses which I picked up from a wine tasting at a winery several years ago. I was down to two because over the years four had been broken. I searched and searched on the internet looking for these or something close to it. Finally I came across these on Amazon and they looked like the ones I was looking for. They were delivered in a few days and I couldn't be happier. They are perfect for our day to day wine drinking and are great to use when we have company.

These glasses will last for a while. Finally!

Hosted a wine party to sample some of the wine I make at home. Had over 30+ guests. I looked in to pstic wine glasses but the actual cost of those compared to 2 boxes of these just didn't make sense. I would pay almost 70% for the plastic ones. So I spent $25 whole dollars to give my guests a little more class and have glasses for the next party. They look decent, feel ok, and are a good size for either white or red wine. If you are a wine snob then pass on these. I don't really use them for everyday drinking as I figure it's ok to use the expensive crystal myself and enjoy that more. But the price of these can't be beat. Not a one broke from either shipping or the party as well.

Good, sturdy glass that will work well in my environment where there are people handling these all the time and not being so "gentle". The reason for 4 stars vs. 5 is that the base of the glass is a bit different from the picture, or appears to me to be so. The base is bigger than I would normally expect for a wine glass making it seem a bit "chunky". I suppose that helps with it's durability so that it's not easily knocked over? I minor detail and I would purchase more of these as needed.

No broken glasses

We bought a dozen of these glasses a couple of years ago and went out of our way to locate the same glass for replacing the ones that break in normal usage. We like the design because it's an original take, yet well within the traditional canon. They're not at all fragile, but probably a better weight for home use than for a restaurant. Since it came directly from the manufacturer, the shipping box was specifically designed for glassware, which was another plus.

Product was as advertised however shipment was longer than stated.
