Great bulbs, much brighter and more efficient. The only issue I had, was the bulbs do not draw enough power causing the power supply in my fixture to turn off after a few seconds. Obviously this is due to the type of fixture I have. It was designed to use halogen bulbs and required a certain amp draw to function properly. To remedy this, I kept two of the standard halogen bulbs in and replaced just the spot lights with LED. Overall I’m using less power, the lamps are cool to the touch now and far brighter than the halogen spots they replaced!

these are awesome replacements for regular halogen bulbs, not only in the power savings but also the reduction in heat generated. your not going to burn yourself with these

Work in my down lights very well

I purchased many of these bulbs in the hopes they could work for my living room. I have five Jesco light units recessed in my ceiling, both three and four bulb versions. They all provide 12VAC for the bulbs, originally designed for halogen bulbs. My electrician initially installed non-dimmer switches and these Feit bulbs worked fine. Once we swapped in Lutron Caseta dimmer switches (PD-6WCL-WH and PD-5NE-WH) these bulbs had issues. Any dim level below 100% would cause flickering and strobing, getting more significant as the brightness dropped. They would bottom out around 35% brightness, completely turning off. The Caseta switches fade from 0 to 100% brightness upon power on, but these bulbs didn't like anything less than 100% brightness so they would frequently not light up at all, even when powering up to 100%.I ended up trying two other bulb models after this: Bioluz BLMR16-3K400-5 and the Philips 7.8MR16/PER/927/F35/Dim/EC/12V 10/1FB (order code 470195). Both of these other bulbs dimmed well (didn't strobe or flicker until at very low brightness) but the quality of light from the Philips blew the Bioluz away. The Bioluz light had a difference in color temperature as you left the center of the beam and had a much lower CRI. I much prefer the Philips and will only be buying them from here on out. These just don’t last long outdoors. 6months at the most.

Garbage bulbs, and worse customer service. Not worth the hassle of holding for the cost of a bulb. Stay away.

Do not buy this expensive garbage. Bought 40+ and 10 out of them died in 6mo. Customer service said they cannot send a warranty unit excusing no inventory. Such a hilarious product and garbage warranty.
