Q: What's the differences between WP-672 & 660? (other than price). Is it worth the extra money?

I have the 660, and my dad has the 672. His is *much* quieter than mine!! I would think the motors are the same, but I was very surprised and will be upgrading to this one for that reason alone!

Q: Has anyone tried insulating the water pump for noise, like with dynamat? This thing sounds like a jack hammer on the lowest setting.

placing the whole unit on a textured silicone mat can help a little bit. honeycomb texture seems more noise dampening because the very flimsy walls of the honeycomb appear to transfer less noise to the surface it's sitting on than other types. something like PratiPad PLUS 4-in-1 Multipurpose Silicone Pot Holders, Trivets, Jar Openers, & Spoon Rests - Extra Thick Protection - Set of 2 - Green Grey which is i've also seen at 99 Cent stores. if you want white, try KOHLER K-8619-0 Flexible Kitchen Mat, White

Q: Can it go into the shower?

I recommend eating a few of those little baby carrots or celery (cold) in a hot shower. Best to keep them in cool in something like a marble wine cooler or the bathroom sink, plugged and full of ice. Be sure the sink is very actually clean, not just clean looking.

Q: Does this have swivel tips?

No, the wand tips are fixed at an approximate 30 degree angle.
