AWESOME PRODUCT! Saved my plants!
First time doing plants for me. My mother in law recommend I have type of bug prevention on hand. I potted Elephant Ears, they were doing great then I noticed the holes in the leaves! I was so upset to see the beetles were taking up residence in my plants! Immediately I used this in all of my pots and watered it into the soil. Next day..... no more beetles! Have not had any more issues and it has been over a week. We also used this around our crab apple tree since the beetles thought they could live there as well. This is a great product, easy to use (just wear gloves) and I used a plastic disposable cup to add the product to the soil all the way around the soil in the pots. HIGHLY RECOMMED!

BEST VALUE from Ortho - No Question!
As a former Pest Control Professional, Bifenthrin (the active ingredient in this product) is a long established and highly effective insecticide. You won't find a pest control company that doesn't use Bifenthrin as part of their PC program. It is used indoors (as a liquid spray), outdoors as "border control", and in turf grass (granular or liquid) to control dozens of insects. In the south, Chinch Bugs are perhaps our biggest turf grass enemy- particularly in St Augustine grass, and Bifenthrin is highly effective (especially as part of a 1-2 punch described in more detail below)Ortho BugClear is one of the best values for Bifen (for short) even compared to their own competing product "Lawn Insect Killer". BugClear has nearly DOUBLE the Bifen, and is labeled to cover 1.5"+ times the square feet of turf, yet is priced comparably. In other words, if you choose the "Lawn Insect Killer" from Ortho, you are spending nearly twice as much! Now, the 1-2 punch for Chinch bugs. Cyhalothrin in combination with Bifen. Cyhalothrin comes in various formulations (Gamma, Lambda), but I am too far removed from my PC days to even know the differences, but don't get hung up on that. It is classified as a micro-encapsulated insecticide and is also very effective indoors and out for control of a multitude of insects. It is available in many OTC products including Spectracide Triazicide (the best value I have found OTC) in both liquid and granular. For Chinch bugs, I alternate between the granular and liquid versions of Cyhalothrin and Bifen four times a year. Chinch bugs are a summer problem, but this punch is highly effective against fire ants, Mole Crickets, somewhat for grubs, and other fall/winter pests. (white grubs are a whole other issue and you want a product with an active ingredient like Imidacloprid (a synthesized nicotine product) to catch them in the spring while the June Beetles are laying their eggs in your yard).Alternate the 1-2 granular/liquid approach 3-4 times a year in your lawn, and 90% or more of the pests you fight won't have a chance, and you can control them with these OTC products for an entire year for less than a month or two of a lawn professional (who will likely be using the same active ingredient products). If you have a large yard, explore some of the retailers that offer "pro grade" products with the same active insecticides for bulk sale to anyone in most states. But for most, this insect control program will do the job for a relatively low cost with products available on Amazon, or your local home improvement store.

Works for all bugs, and works not as well, but still works for grubs
These work good, but not perfect. They are great for all bugs listed except for grubs. They do an OK job, but there are other products out there for that. The main thing for these are the ticks, which it works great for. Recommend if you are dealing with bug issues other than grubs

Long lasting. It works. No ticks in my yard.
Got rid of the ticks in our yard; went from going outside for 2 hours and finding ticks on us to going outside for several hours and not finding any ticks. Application is easy, just spread this in the yard in the evening when you think its going to rain. Currently its been about two months and have not found any ticks on us or the kids. I will note, your results may differ, but I do have honeybees nearby and the application did not appear to affect any of my hives. This did not affect my dogs. I believe this to be a quality product so I do recommend.

This Stuff REALLY Works!
SO, the Summer we purchased our home near Albany, NY, our yard was FULL of fleas, ticks, and all sorts of ground bugs that terrorized our pets and us at back yard get togethers. The following year, I purchased two of these bags of bug stuff. My husband applied it with a spreader throughout our back yard and around the house as directed, we still had issues with flies and mosquitoes, but not one flea and not one tick was to be had. If you need to "reset" your yard, this is worth its weight in gold. It works, and fast. Highly Recommend!!

Just OK:(
Sprayer did not work at all, 20 minutes of "spraying" and the level did not drop. Sprayer was actually a strong jet so that didn't work well either. GREAT customer service! Replaced the item immediately. 2nd one worked well and was effective but repeated application needed.

A good combination of ease-of-use and affordability
My lawn was turning into a wasteland due to squirrels digging it up for nuts; moles burrowing under it looking for grubs and earthworms; burrowing bees and hornets; Japanese beetle larvae; and who knows what else.I called two pest control firms. One never responded, and the other told me they only did home interiors / premises, and wanted to enroll me in a ‘treatment program’ contract that required monthly fees for at least a year. So, I measured my yard, using my own steps to get a rough estimate of the square footage, and then I went to amazon and bought four bottles of Ortho Bug Clear, for $11 / bottle. I followed the instructions, sprayed my yard (I had no problems at all with the spray procedure), and waited. Within two weeks the grass began to grow back, the moles vanished, squirrels stayed away, and I wasn’t stung by yellowjackets while mowing the lawn. Great !Some advice:-make sure you unreel your hose, check there are no leaks, and make sure it’s completely unkinked, before attaching and using the Ortho spray bottle.-make sure the Ortho bottle is firmly attached to your garden hose, before using it-spray in the evening hours (UV light will degrade the insecticide) and during a period when you don’t expect rain to fall for several days-don’t let pets or kids onto the lawn for a couple days post-spray-understand that the insecticide isn’t going to work overnight, you will have to give it time to take effect
