Careful with Batteries
Battery life is poor at best. Be careful, your tender cuttings may be dried up if you don’t stay on top of this battery issue. There is no warning. Otherwise the product works ok.Follow up note: customer service offered a full refund because of this review. They obviously take their products seriously and I would buy their products again.I’ve changed my rating to 5 stars but still watch out for battery life. Maybe they will increase the battery size?

Fills up with water.
The media could not be loaded. The first time I connected to a faucet, it filled with water inside, although the cover was tight. I took the cover off, drained the water, let it dry. Put the cover on tight again. Try it again and it filled with water inside again. At this point, you could hear it humming inside, and it would not stop humming until the batteries were removed. So I think it has a problem with sealing the water out. If it was designed properly, the electronics would be completely isolated from even the slightest possibility of coming in contact with water.

It works as advertised.
Decent little timer. It doesn't have the precision of higher-end timers, but it works for my purposes. Battery life depends on the timer setting and can be quite short! I'm going to wire in a 3VDC power supply!

💦Very Satisfied So Far
Using this timer for a mist system, and so far very pleased. It's hard to find timers in seconds and, of course, I bought one that leaked badly. It was also confusing to set.🎉This timer was my second choice, but far happier with it. No leaks! Plus it's dead simple to work.🥺I worry because I have it more or less exposed to the weather and the directions said not to. Why would you make something that is used outdoors and not make it durable enough to be outdoors? I keep the plastic lid screwed on tightly and periodically wipe it dry on the inside. It's been rather rainy &/or 100°, but so far, so good.🔋It needed another set of batteries a month in. Felt like a goofball when - after a long search - I realized the battery access is in the front.💜I've had this item about 6 weeks and rely heavily on it. If it holds up to the weather (I don't expect it to take winter temperatures, but may risk it in my mild location), I will continue to believe this is a 5-star product.O/T Sidenote: Apologies for the emojis. They helped me sort what I was saying and the review box doesn't acknowledge empty lines.

You get what you pay for... Protect from rain and sun and maybe will last longer.
Honestly this thing barely lasts 1 season for propagation. I'm on my 4th one. I can't settle on an easier method so I just keep buying these because they are cheap. You get what you pay for I guess... the cover is most definitely not water proof. I will attempt to protect this one i just bought a little longer by giving it a little shelter to stay dry when it rains and to keep it out of direct sun. On another note. I've got a different short cycle timer in mind but I can't figure out the best solenoid to use with it. If any recommendations please let me know 😉

Water leak
Works great other than it does not seal good and batteries keep exploding. So update bought first on august 23 only lasted a week before it got full of water and shorted out. Got second one september 8th made sure i put it away from the sprinklers to keep it from getting wet and is under a covered pourch. Second one lasted till November 1st. Now it does not open the valve, does not reset and will not turn on manually. Has no water in it. In my opinion a real bad product! As you can see no water damage all it does is blink the same the whole time does not do anything different. When you change the dials like its supposed to. Even took the batteries out to reset it and the valve actuated when i put the batteries back in so i know they are good.
