Bought this for myself to enjoy my favorite bourbons and add to the experience. I already had the whiskey glasses from an earlier purchase (I like the styling), so it was an easy choice of which decanter. Buying the set made perfect sense to have a set of 8 glasses for a great evening with friends. Box arrived well-packaged with a nice cover box, and the interior box makes for a great first impression. Decanter, topper, glasses and coasters were tightly packed for safety. Good craftsmanship, especially for the price. Decanter and topper are particularly substantial - solid base and nicely honed topper. No flaws in either the decanter or glasses and the topper is crystal clear.My only minor (very) comment would be that the glasses and decanter arrived less than very clean (not used, just likely had been sitting in a factory waiting to be boxed and thus weren't crystal clean which would have made for an AMAZING presentation (see pic). So, really, 4.999999 stars. Would I buy as a gift for someone? Definitely. Glad I purchased for myself? Already poured the first satisfying dram.

Nice durable glass very surprised. The box they came in kind of flimsy. I ordered 5 as gifts and one box was split and broken. Other 4 were in tact.

I gave this as a gift so I don’t have much experience with the product itself after opening. It was packed extraordinarily well when the receiver opened it and he couldn’t stop talking about how good the box smelled. In fact he said, “I almost want to take everything out and just live in this box it smells so good.” Kind of strange but it did smell really good. The slate coasters were individually bubble wrapped and everything had its own cut out in the foam. Even the decanter and it’s lid had separate cut outs. Something else the receiver said was, “This is something I’ll have to display. It can’t go in a cabinet.” He also asked where I got it and when I told him Amazon he was amazed saying how he was sure I had been driving through a small town and found it in a shop on the main drag. I told him we could stick to that story. Overall I can’t compliment this product enough. The person I gave it to was elated and so was I.
