AeroGarden Asian Herbs Seed Pod Kit, 7, Green

UPDATED: So it turns out these are the blank kits that someone has "refilled" and Aerogarden does not guarantee they will grow. I called and they said most of the time the tiny seeds fall out of the media because they are just popped in on top by the reseller.FAKE!! Do not buy! I just opened these and the box looked a little suspicious. The pods themselves are 2 different kinds. Both have been cut at the bottom and refilled. These are not authentic. My daughter wanted to try them anyways so we will see if the grow. I seriously doubt it. I am worried they have been refilled in China with mystery mutant seeds.

Do not buy seed products from them. I was hoping the bad reviews were wrong, but I've noticed the quality of these products going down hill over the past year. I usually would have one or two pods not grow, and that was disappointing, but not a total loss. I purchased this in hopes the bad reviews were wrong, but out of 6 pods, only one has began to grow. The gaurentee is there, but it's a hassle to return them IF you retained all of the packaging etc. while waiting for your pods to grow. do yourself a favor and just buy seeds and grow them yourself, as the quality of their products is now very low (as the reviews tell) I love my aero indoor garden very much and highly recommend the main system, but their seed pod kits have clearly gone down in quality unlike the price for them. A waste of money and time. Lost customer warning others. I never leave bad reviews on products, but this needs to be shared as other have done.

Well im pretty dissapointed, this is my second batch of herbs from AeroGarden that have some plants not really doing anything. I will keep waiting, but one is doing alright and sprouting, one started to sprout and then dissapeared and today i looked and saw a tiny little worm or caterpillar crawling around inside the dome, which Im assuming came in the pod because it has its little dome sealed on top of it still and Im not sure how else it would have gotten in there. Still waiting for my third one to sprout but it looks like a little ball of mold or something is popping up instead so im not too hopeful. My last order i think only one of 3 grew, this time I got the 6 pack so I will see how many I can get going.

I am not sure what these other reviews are all about and why other people were having so many problems with this herb pods. I always like to read reviews before I buy any item on Amazon. The reviews for this item almost made me not purchase this item. Then I thought maybe most of these other buyers were just doing it all wrong. I followed the instructions word to word, and as you can see from the photos 2 weeks later all 6 plants are growing. I use nothing but distilled water, which I believe is the trick. You don’t have any to use tab water. There are 2 herbs that late bloomers, but they all seem to be doing okay. So morel of this review is, don’t always believe what other people say, because they just may not know what they are doing and it’s user error.

I bought pods before at stores, and always had everything grow healthy and big. This is the first time I buy them online, cause it was cheaper. After about 2 mnths the basil only grew. The other herbs finally started growing, and are now dying. Also, these are not very fragrant...not even the basil? A green thumb told me the seeds used were probably very old, not stored properly, bad quality seeds, or the nutrients that came w the kit was more damaging the helpful. Well you get what you pay for. I'll just stick to store bought pods.

I purchased these back in 2/18 and it is now 4/6/18. I have "planted" four of the pods in my AeroGarden and of the four, one did not sprout at all and the other three produced one anemic sprout each, which quickly died. The paper covers on the pods are different than the original ones included with my garden and the little germination domes do not quite fit, leading me to suspect that these are not genuine Miracle-Gro AeroGarden product, but artful knock-offs. (The pods that came with my garden were prolific.) I will only be ordering directly from Miracle-Gro from now on.

Great! Easy to grow. A few thoughts:Some varieties you'll like better than others for use in an AeroGarden. For example...The Globe Basil would be good to start in the Garden, but then tranfer to a regular pot. The leaves are small and they don't really form a globe in the AG.The Purple is easy to grow and proliferates well. The Genovese becomes like a tree, so trim it back a LOT (don't fear! - it's very hearty) or otherwise it can overgrow the other plants.The Lemon has a nice hint of a lemony aroma - nice with chicken.I had hoped to allow several of the plants to go to seed, but never could. These things all glow like crazy toward the light, but just keep growing overboard!The plants will tend to grow into each other and potentially block the light. Trim mercilessly (and make pesto) or else you'll compromise the vitality of the plants. Consider planting only 3 or even 2 varieties at a time allowing the to spread more. Fewer plants would help you keep up with the massive yield once they are grown.The leaves sometimes fall off (especially the Globe), so consider having a newspaper or something under the AG to catch stuff as it falls.Only drawback was having to allow them to die when we went on vacation. We had lots and lots of basil for months from one planting.

I have an aero garden as a gift, I ordered this off amazon, only two plants grew, one germinated but died quickly before growing much more than half an inch. The other three did nothing at all. I am a gardener so working with plants is not something I struggle with either. The basil is growing great and does taste good, but I paid basically 20 bucks for a basil plant at the end of the day.

Only came with a four domes when there should have been 6. Contacted company about the issue. They promptly sent a new kit which was great but that kit only 3 domes. They wanted me to return one of the kits but I couldn’t access account to print label. Then was charged for the second kit. This company needs better quality control. As well, my thyme wouldn’t grow.

These pods sprouted super quickly (like within two days!) after I planted them and have grown into lush and flavourful basil plants that produce lots of leaves (I can harvest a decent amount every few days). If you're interested in growing lots of basil in your Aerogarden I recommend these pods - perfect for pesto! The plants aren't super tall but they've got quite a few leaves so I'm very pleased with them. The instructions are clear and easy to follow.

The product arrived in a timely manner. However, two of the pods did not sprout. The rest of the herbs are doing well though. I find it is pretty common for 1 to 3 of the pods to not sprout, or to not thrive. The basil typically does the best. By a few months in, in both of my previous attempts, basil was the only plant left. It was very healthy. Hopefully, more herbs stay alive this time around.

The media could not be loaded.  I was excited that there was a lot with all different types of basil (I have grown the Genovese and Thai basil in the past with the aerogarden). I have decided to start growing 3 different kinds then I have before. The only thing I’m upset about is that I received parsley instead of Thai basil ( Thai is sooo yummy). I have not had great luck with the parsley in the past. So you loose a star sorry.

I ordered six pesto basil. I have received keep proper box, but Inside that box Where hive cascading petunias and one basil. Unfortunately I didn’t notice the labels until I had already Stuck Three petunias and the lone basil in the AeroGarden with water. I haven’t contacted support yet but I hope they will send another box of the ones I actually Ordered. I hate Petunias!
