I'm pleasantly surprised with this vest, my first foray into weighted vests. I've only had it for several days, so I can't comment on the durability. There was an initial strong odor of plastic or something similar, but that's going away. The odor wasn't overwhelming, but certainly noticeable. I've only used it during walks and yard work as I'm recovering from an injury and can't run yet, so not sure how it will do when I'm more active. I'm 6'4" with a 44 inch chest and it fit comfortably with a few inches to spare in the strap. I bought the 12lb which I think is a good starter, but I may get a heavier one in the future. There are vests that look to be higher quality and more versatile, but they can be 10x the price of this vest. So for the cost, I'm happy with it.

Love my vest. My husband has been trying to get me to ruck, so I went with the 6lb because I’m currently pregnant. It’s so comfortable and easy to wear that I find myself reaching for it every time I go out. I try to walk 10k steps a day and I’ve been able to pick up my speed and endurance while I walk and I feel so much more fit. At first 6lbs felt right, but I think after a couple weeks I’m ready to increase the weight. I’m 16 weeks pregnant and have only gained 2lbs (started a little heavier) but my doctor is very impressed with my weight gain. My husband wanted me to get the same setup as him, but this vest is made so well. It feels more even than his and I’m trying to convert him to the vest!

I'm glad I joined the club.It’s perfect for adding intensity to slower walks (especially since one of my dogs has an injury and strolls like he’s on vacation). The front pocket fits my phone and my pepper spray (which I’ve thankfully never needed), so I can skip the fanny pack when wearing pocketless shorts. Small joy, big win.Does it make me look like I’m skydiving into suburbia? According to my brother’s wife—yes. She calls it my parachute. One star off because it had a bit of a smell when I first opened it (took about a week to fade), but otherwise it’s fantastic.If you're on the fence: Just do it. I purchased this 12 pd weighted vest to use on my daily walks. I am an older woman who would like to benefit from a little extra help. My daughter has the same one and she loves it. I was a little worried when I bought it because I couldn’t put hers on because it was too small. However, I put this one on and it fit just right with a little adjustment so I would say that it fits a variety of different body styles when you pick up a 12 pound weighted vest it feels heavy but when you put a 12 pound weighted vest on it feels great. I took a walk and it was a little extra effort to get through my 2 1/2 miles however, I know my core and body are going to benefit from this. It comes with a little bag that you can attach to the vest to carry your keys or phone. I would highly recommend this product. I’m glad I gave it a try.

Great quality. Add some challenge to a walk or run without making it unbearable. There’s equal weight distribution so you can feel the extra weight and get a good burn but it’s not distracting or uncomfortable. The only not awesome thing is that I think you have to keep buying vests if you want to go up in weight.
