Good price on a good instrument
Typical these days it seems are poorly translated instructions. Really it does get old but I digress. Accurate, no more a pain to calibrate than any instrument of this type. Measures pH and does it well.

Lousy Directions
The meter is very easy to read and seems to be faily accurate, but the directions are almost non-existent.

It worked for me
This product works as advertised! Not sure about all negative comments, I must of gotten a good one. The ppm was spot on out of the box. I had to calibrate the PH, no big deal it calibrate like all others. I tested the calibration and so far has stayed in calibration for a week.

Fine while it worked
Worked one full swim season. Simply stopped functioning. Not submersion, not rust, kept indoors. Tried new batteries. The partner salinity meter is still working, but I have little confidence that it’ll last. Will retire the salinity meter and replace with an “all in one”.

Good ph tester for the money
Well working PH meter so far. The meter was easily calibrated. I tested it in a variety of solutions as I was tampering with the PH levels using acids and bases. I would test the solution with different types of PH indicator strips, then try to guess what result the PH meter would yield. I was within 0.2 literally every time, completely surprising. Definitely a good buy!

Accurate tool
Nice tool for the price. I haven’t used anything costing more than this but I have used a cheaper one. I can say this is what you’d expect from a PH tool. It measures quickly and it repeats the same measure. Not all of them can do that.As a bonus, you get the PPM tester too.

Calibration algorithm is screwed up
This meter was getting a little off, so I decided to calibrate it. Big mistake. It randomly chooses the wrong point to calibrate to. When in the pH 6.86 buffer, it usually chooses the 9.18 setting. When in the pH 4.01 buffer, it usually chooses 6.86, but then sometimes it chooses 9.18. Every once in a while it gets one of the calibration points right, but then if I try to calibrate the pH 4.01 it screws up the whole calibration curve. I check it against a pH 7.00 reference solution and get 7.34. The meter is no longer useable.Edit:I was able to correct this problem. I soaked the probe end in a saturated Potassium Chloride solution for a couple of hours. Rinsed it thoroughly and was then able to calibrate the meter properly. It finally checked out correctly with a pH 7.0 reference solution. They claim that the electrode doesn't need storage solution, but it does degrade if not stored in KCl. I suspect that some of the other reviews that mention problems with calibration are suffering from the same problem.

Like all the negative reviews say... Stops working within months. Won't calibrate anymore.
The first one had a broken bulb. The second one calibrated fine out of the box and worked great till about a... I don't even know when it stopped working. But I had some fungus gnats that I thought were the reason all my houseplants are dying and my seedlings won't grow. But then I checked something the other day that I knew should have a specific ph all the time. It was way off. I go to calibrate the 6.86 calibrate just fine, do the 9.18 and it calibrate to 6.86 I do the 4 0 and it calibrated to 6.86.nothing you do will stop it from calibrating to 6.86. The ppm meter was solid.Outside return window but I'm sure replacement will also be junk.
