It really is very nice to look at, as well the quality is really good. It works with the look of my iMac beautifully. I also like the fact that in the down position it is only about 1.5" high. Most other standing desk convertors are several inches high. They not only look bulky sitting on your desk, they raise the monitor too high, to my liking, when being used in the sitting position. The only reason I took off one star is because it feels just a little more heavier to raise, for the first 3-4 inches, from the down position. That, I believe, is what you give up for its very low profile in the down position.

We just received our first delivery of Oplofts and we love them! I have been searching for a more lightweight and portable sit-stand solution for myself and staff for years. The Oploft was well worth the wait.We have frequent and lengthy project meetings. It has been awesome to see employees carry these workstations into the conference room so that they can change from sitting to standing while we go through the agenda. When they return to their desks they are standing more too.Oploft also fits the décor of our office nicely. The sleek white color of the platform paired with its slim, low-profile makes for an extremely eye-catching piece of furniture. It may just be me, but seeing these throughout the building really makes the office aesthetic "pop" and gives a feeling of progress and productivity. I have just ordered one with a monitor arm to use at home during my off days!This is a superb sit-to-stand unit that I will be recommending to my friends, family, and industry colleagues!

It's sturdy and attractive.My only concern is the amount of weight it lists it can hold -- 26lbs.I have a 27" Apple cinema display that weighs 23.5. So it seems the product would not hold both monitor and macbook pro.

This monitor arm could be amazing but, unfortunately, has a significant design flaw. The holes for the VESA mount are compatible with the measurements provided; however, the plate is too large for monitors with an indented (cutout) square that the plate is inserted and screwed to the monitor. The product listing shows the arm mounted to a flat-back configuration.I was so enthused about this monitor arm (to use with the Oploft sit-stand desk riser) that I searched for a monitor that I could use with it. Unfortunately, I could only find monitors with the indented configuration.I absolutely love the Posturite Oploft sit-stand riser and would be thrilled if the manufacturer would create a new VESA plate for the monitor arm. I can't even use an adapter or replace the plate. While the plate comes off, it is attached to another piece rendering it impossible to swap it.

Just received and had to write immediately, initial view is great quality and a joy to use , clearly has stronger legs than may others and feels nice and sturdy.The only quirk is I love the aluminium handles to see but they do stop you having a flat bed to overlap edges so take a little real estate away but thats may be a benefit to some as they also act as stoppers for anything that may head to the edge.I'm ordering a monitor stand as it will be great with 1-2 monitors above a laptop. Although I am using a 15.6" laptop next to a 15.6" portable screen on the surface and it works well. Just the pleasure of using it has inspired me to maximise its versatility.

My working hours are split between office and home. I have a desk and a chair at home, which are comfortable enough, but after a few hours I'd start to feel the effects of sitting down for too long (back ache, neck pain, stiff joints etc). I'd heard that sit-stand desks are a good way to prevent this but was skeptical at first. As I'm currently moving house though, my main reason for getting this desk was the space saving and convenience of being able to rest it on anything flat (as my desk wasn't available).I'd looked at other options, but the Oploft looked much better. It looked less bulky than other desks and when flat it's almost flush with the surface. Plus the simple features mean it's not so much of an eyesore around the place! It raises easily and steadily with the side handles (good for when I don't want to spill my coffee) and lowers just as well. You can tell it's really solidly built and can trust it as much as any other solid desk. The difference is that this desk goes almost completely flat and can be stored easily.I've really felt the benefits if being able to stand and work, but having the option to simply lower your working platform when you want is great. When I do have my desk back, I'll be putting the Oploft on top and using this as an additional option. Its sleek, well built, easy to use and has really helped my productivity at home. If you work at home, you need this desk!

Very easy to use , no assembly necessary which is one less thing to worry about.I have seen real improvement with my swollen feet and back issue.I have a monitor and my laptop on it and the lifting and lowering of the platform happens with no hustle at all. You might need a bit of practice at first but it's really straight forward.However it's kind of heavy so if you're not strong you may need help to move it from one place to another... absolutely no way I can go from one meeting to another with it once I am back to the office, hence the 4* and not 5.

This is a great product. It definitely takes some getting used to standing for prolonged periods,v but I can already feel my fitness increase in just a couple of days of usage. And my lower back aches have already diminished significantly in just a few days. And concentration on work tasks is greatly improved by virtue of the increased alertness created by standing rather than sitting.

I’ve wanted a sit-stand desk for a while but couldn’t justify getting rid of my desk at home when it’s perfectly fine – it just doesn’t go up and down! So when I discovered the Oploft platform, I knew this was the perfect solution for me. I first came across Posturite a few years ago when I was suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome and a friend of mine recommended the Penguin mouse. I was so pleased with the results that I didn’t hesitate to buy from them again.The Oploft looks great on my desk – it’s really slimline and if I need to move it, it can be lifted up without too much hassle and popped under the desk. The silver handles feel lovely and with just a push and a lift, I can set it to any height and stand up for a while to do my work. When I want to sit back down, I just push the handles and it folds easily down again with no real exertion from me.All in all, I am very impressed with this product and will definitely be recommending it to my friends – thanks Posturite for another great product!
