I have been using these for sometime now and I can say they are a great asset. Good quality build and value for money. Worth the investment.

worth the price tag if well maintained
im happy so far with these diamond stones, as long as they are looked after there is minimal difference in quality between these and some more expensive brands. the slip resistant rubber on the bottom does fall off but easily fixed with either glue or a slip proof mat. overall they are easy to use and give a good sharp finish.

Diamond sharpening beds
Sharpened a plane iron and a couple of chisels. Good product.

Getting edgy.
Good set of whetstones indeed. If you have a seriously blunt knife or want to maintain an already sharp knife and you know how to use these diamond sharpening stones you will finish up with an extremely sharp knife. They are well made and I am certain, given average use, they will last a very long time. The stones are easy to clean (soapy water) and they don't beak in half if you drop one. They come presented in a very substantial lidded case which will keep them clean in a dusty environment. Excellent value for money.

Game changer
I use this kit for sharpening the blades in vintage wooden block planes and coffin planes. Sharpening is an art form. Watch some videos on YouTube to see how the experts do it. There is a knack to getting the bevels and tappers just right. If you are working with Sheffield or Ohio quality steel blades, then this sharpening kit will get them beyond razor sharpness. On cheap steel blades, you will struggle to get the same level of sharpness or an edge that lasts for more than a few strokes before its dull again.

Very cheap, but not great value
It was a very cheap way to try some diamond honing plates, but the plates are very thin, with plastic blocks that can flex a bit, and after honing a few chisels, and commissioning a couple of plane irons they’re worn out and don’t do much.I replaced these with a branded metal slab, 2-sided (400 & 1000) diamond honing plate, that only cost 1.5x as much and it’s loads better. Munch better bite, and doesn’t flex. That might wear out as quickly though, hard to know.I didn’t find I used the middle grit for sharpening woodworking tools, but it may be useful for other things.

Faithful Diamond Whetstone Kit.. 3 Stones, 400/600/1000
I was pleased with the look and feel of this product for the price especially as I'm new to sharpening Chisels and I didn't want to spend nigh on 100 Euros on one 300/1000 stone right now. Maybe in the future when I am more experienced but right now this is perfect for my purposes as a woodworker learning his craft. The case is well built as long as ur not cack handed dropping it from great heights it should last a long time.. I love the product even though some will slag them off saying they're not better than the thicker plates steel with Diamonds in it. Don't ask me about the process of making the more expensive ones but these are fine for me.I get the woodworker with 30 years experience not wanting these but if u are a beginner wanting to not spend fortunes then these stones are a gift at 40 odd euros. I also bought the Magnusson 7 Chisel set with their stone but I got these for that little extra bit of class when it comes to sharpening the chisel lads.. Give em a whirl.. Worth the money for me anyways

Excellent for beginners looking to sharpen general use chisels
I have a cheap set of six flat edge chisels that I use for general work like cutting out notches for door hinges and catches, removing bits of wood containing nails scraping off old paint, opening tins of paint because they're to hand at the time... I am not a master woodworker, just a self taught chisel wielding DIYer. So my chisels are regularly blunted, dented and get their corners knocked off. I have a whetstone, been using it for over 20 years, and I hate it. I hate the smell, I hate the noise, and most of all I hate the mess. I usually end up using the wrong size chisel because it's the only one that is still sharp.Finding my whetstone had gone mouldy I wondered if there was an alternative and came across the Faithfull Diamond Whetstone Sharpening Kit on Amazon.I placed the base on a large fluffy dust cloth just to stop it sliding on my table.I used a chisel sharpening jig to ensure I got the angle correct.I used no oil or other lubricants.I applied only enough pressure to slide the blade evenly across the surface and I pushed the blade forwards and backwards slowly, roughly one forward and back movement per second.I used the 400 grit to to deburr, get the corners back and correct the angle of the cutting edge . This work took the most time. I used the 600 grit to sharpen up, followed by the 1000 grit to hone the edge. Yes it did hone the edge well: I sliced my thumb open when I gently ran it along my sharpened 32mm chisel to test it. Far sharper than I ever managed with an oiled whetstone. The fluffy duster meanwhile caught all the fine steel dust and I used it to dry wipe the 'stones' before putting them away.Result? I actually enjoy sharpening my chisels, and they're now getting sharpened every time I've used them. I may even stop opening tins of paint with them...
