Incredible knife!
So I don't often write all-glowing reviews; I like to be honest and critical. This may just be the nicest product I've ever purchased from Amazon. I watched a few reviews on YouTube about this knife and decided it was just what I needed (I actually did need one in this size range). I was pretty impressed with the videos I watched, but it was nothing to how impressed I've been since receiving it! First of all, it's beautiful, like a work of art. Next, it is VERY solid and has some weight to it. I have average sized-mens hands and it fits perfectly! I've never had a knife with a G10 handle before, but I really like the texture; it is comfortable without scratching the flesh, yet grips well even when wet. The blade holds and takes an edge very well. I've dabbled a bit with forging and while I'm no accomplished knife maker, it has given me an eye for quality and this knife is of higher than average quality. Next, the Kydex sheath is so well made that I've decided that for my purposes I don't need the retention strap and removed it. Lastly, the ferro rod and striker are a nice touch and work very well. This is going to make a great camping knife, or if you have a Bug Out Bag this would be a great addition to it. I would highly recommend this knife to anybody; friends, family, and whoever reads this review.

AMAZING outdoor knife!
I got this knife as a 14th birthday present from my Mom and I was blown away! I go to a Wilderness School once a week and since I am in the oldest group we get to use knives, saws, and axes on projects. I am currently making a bow drill kit for fire making and I carved a decent spindle with it! (The reason the spindle was only decent was because I’m not good at making them) I then batoned through some hardwood and this knife cut through it a lot better than my moraknive. With that hardwood I started carving a handhold for my bow drill. I also took some fatwood and made very good and fine shavings with minimal effort. I absolutely love this knife for the outdoors and know you will too! :)

This thing matches my Colt Python Combat Elite perfectly! This will be my go to camping knife, all the accessories are of high quality and I can’t wait to make a pointy stick with it🤪

What a beautiful knife!!!
Holtzman knives are the best quality knives i have ever owned. I first bought the neck knife and the quality was amazing. Then I ordered the Silverback and the knife was even better the the first. The knife is razor sharp. It has completed any task i have put it through. Its just a perfect knife. The sheath was tight but would rattle when you walked around with it on your side. I was just going to live with it but decided to message the company. I am so glad I did. They are so easy to work with. They stand behind there products. They took great care of me. I will definitely be buying from this company again. If you want a quality knife at a great price you cant go wrong with this knife. You also get a company that stands beside there products, which is hard to fine in today's times.

Completely Ambidextrous!!! Total carry comfort!!!
I received my knife about a week ago now and have put it through some around the home duties. I has performed amazingly! The edge retention is absolutely awesome!!! Very tough D2 steel! We used D2 steel in dies used to cut and manufacture parts made of other types of steel so its tough! This knife is a testament to that. The included ferro rod is just right and throws some big sparks without wearing down fast. The scraper has a nice solid grip for wet or cold fingers. I tested mine in winter in Ohio with cold hands with no gloves and didnt have an issue holding onto it. My favorite feature of this knife and sheath is the compatibility of the sheath to customized for right or left handed carry and verticle or horizontal. I was concerned about the retention of the sheath but after recieving the knife it clicks in very positively. I live outdoors with spinal cord injury and walk with a heavy limp. I doesnt come unseated. This knife is well worth what youre going to pay and I would highly recommend it!!

silverback gorilla of bushcraft/survival knives
Very sturdy, well balanced, clip-point bushcraft knife. Handle scales are of oval shaped micarta. Fits the hand nicely with no fatigue issue. The blade steel is D2, which is excellent, tough knife steel with excellent edge retention properties. The factory edge on the knife it arrived with was crap. It would not even cut a piece of paper. Ten minutes on angle guide whetstones put a vicious edge to the d2 steel. The spine of the knife is a full 1/4 inch, heavy enough to tackle any outdoor camp/hunting/survival task. the included kydex sheath if fine and on the deluxe model comes with a ferro rod and tool steel 90degree striker. It's a compact packagewith a fine handling brute of a knife. The only thing to better the assembly would be a leather sheath with a hanger strap if you are a fan of that belt set-up... solid knife, quality steel and construction.. worth the money.

Great buy, Texas winter approved
I ended up buying both knives, and I couldn't be happier. One stays with my camping gear, and the other stays in the truck. A couple weeks ago in Texas we had a record breaking cold snap with approx. 8 inches of snow. I know laugh all you want but central Texas was not prepared. First we had freezing rain, then the snow hit, and mix that with poorly trimmed trees and you have broken limbs all over you yard. During the week of winter I lost power and water, so I had to use the limbs and branches that broke off for fire wood in the rarely used decorated fireplace. The knife made quick work of cleaning them up and splitting some up for kindling with the use of a hammer. Once the wood was ready I used the ferro rod and striker to light it up. Didn't have to, but since I tested the blades integrity why not use the fire starter as well. I am very happy with the purchases.
