initially purchased several years ago as an all in one solution to use as both a general purpose thermometer and oral body temperature gauge. idk what i used anymore to check if the factory had it reasonably calibrated at the correct numbers. it was likely my water kettle (when it water starts to boil) or an ice water bath (using a tin can or disposable cup aimed at the wall). the temperature range was a deal breaker when i was window shopping for an item like this. an awesome buy.

Arrived promptly. Good instructions, works as intended. Sturdy housing. So far very pleased. I used it to get the temp of my baking steel in my oven for pizza and for my griddle for pita. I am a retired professional food taster and technician and do much research work in my kitchen so this is necessary for me. It was also a good price for the product .

This little gadget is terrific! It is incredibly easy to use and is very accurate. Melting chocolate has always been a little tricky either too hot or not melted enough. Now with this, its tempered perfectly. And, its priced right.
