SanDisk Memory Stick M2 to standard MS Pro Duo adapter (COL)

This adapter turns the rather rarer M2 memory stick used in some phones, which is (physically) even smaller than a micro SD, to a Memory Stick Pro Duo, most often used in PSPs... but can also be used for storage of course.This is great because like I stated, M2 is kind of a rarer used SD card as it is, and though there are adapters/readers for M2s, I never thought I would find one that would convert an M2 to Pro Duo! I guess just about every adapter is out there if you look...I have ALL kinds of memory sticks, SD cards, flash drives, adapters, readers, adapters that turn into flash drives, etc. etc., and this is one more that is nice to have as another option for storage and use in my PSP. I had an M2 that I wasn't using, so, voila, now I can use it for something, and the adapter reads the card just fine at a normal speed.Its also inexpensive and I paid no shipping charges. I was happy to find it.NOTE THE LIMITATIONS:*It can only be formatted and used in a device (Do not format or transfer data to it with computer's card reader).ONE SOLUTION: Use your PSP and USB cord as your memory stick reader/connection rather than popping the card and putting it in a "drive" type reader.*The micro SD will have to be reformatted before use in another device.Same as above, if you want to backup certain things then reformat, you can do so by using your PSP usb cable.

Sony's insistence on exclusively using their Memory Stick Duo technology is a real pain: I've never seen a non-Sony product actually using it, and even Sony has softened to the point where they're including "universal" SD/Memory Stick slots on some products.But in the meantime, if you've got to use a Memory Stick--with a PSP, say--you're dealing with the least cost-effective storage solution on the market, and that's where this product can help.For about the price of a  SanDisk 8GB Memory Stick Pro Duo , you can get this adapter and a  Sandisk 16GB M2 Memory Stick Micro .There are other adapters out there that can combine with two MicroSDHC cards that might end up more cost-effective, ultimately, plus provide the greater flexibility that MicroSDHC allows, but in terms of out-of-pocket dollars, this unit with a 16 GB card is currently the way to go, clocking it at about a buck and a half per GB.And I suppose I should point out that it works perfectly...people might want to know that...

I bought this to add to my adapter collection and experienced no problems. If this adapter does not work with your device then you should first be sure that your not trying to insert it incorrectly. At first it seemed though it would not fit in my reader but as it turned out the metal side must point down. Every other type of adapter i've used the markings point up as one might expect but this one goes in the opposite.Most external readers will take a variety of cards including this one. With some external readers you may not even need this adapter so that's worth taking into consideration. It has very faint branding though it is clearly new as these are literally a dime a dozen to produce. The poor quality ink used in the branding leads me to believe this is not a genuine Sandisk adapter. Not that it really matters since this is just an adapter and wont impact performance the least bit.So to sum up my review if you need a cheap adapter this product does work.

My wife takes a lot of pictures/video with her phone, but the Memory stick did't fit any adaptors I had. This worked and works great. It's tiny and my first concern was where can I put it so I don't loose it. It would be easy to loose in a drawer. Anyway, this is good product and the best price I found was on Amazon.Just a reminder this is just a review on the adaptor that the Micro Memory Stick fits into. This allows me to take the memory stick out of the cell phone, put into this adaptor, then plug the adaptor with the memory stick into my computer to transfer pictures/video off the memory stick onto the computer.

This doesn’t work on my laptop or any other devise. Very vague description. Apparently!!! it only works for psp. PSP?! I don’t even own one. Wasted money.
