I only use the Windows side and fortunately it defaults to it
Not sure where to begin. I have ordered 3 of these so far to be a small site controller for some retail stores that are too small to have dedicated servers. Although they dual-boot to Android OS, I only use the Windows side and fortunately it defaults to it. These have all arrived with Windows 10 upgraded, not Windows 8.1, with all hardware drivers loaded properly. The processor - while only an Atom - is powerful enough to run the OS, TeamViewer 10 in the background, and Unifi controller software simultaneously. Plenty of USB ports, and a nice touchscreen. The antenna might be a little large, but I keep it down and parallel to the unit so it doesn't look obtrusive. The OS appears to have a valid license, contrary to what others have alleged. Although it does not have the product key embedded in the BIOS (presumably because it is so stripped down) you can get the PK by using Nirsoft's Produkey utility. This way you can reinstall the OS if you ever needed to.Cons:1. I had one die after a week of use. It would no longer power on, but the power adapter was working so something must have failed internally. There was no burnt/smoky smell, so something just died. I was able to get a replacement and all others have been working well ever since.2. The BIOS is not easy to get into, and even more difficult to navigate around. I needed these to always power back on after a power failure, and it is tough to even locate this setting. I'm still not sure I found it or set it properly, but they have been working so far.3. The wired Ethernet adapter is only 10/100. This is minor, considering it has a low power Atom processor that shouldn't be doing much to require a Gbit NIC.4. These all came with a screen protector already applied. While this is also a pro feature, I am including it with the cons because there is an occasional bubble in it that I can't seem to get out.

Works great, but beware: it may not come with a valid Windows license. Mine did not.
Well, it's a great piece of hardware so far.I'll caution non-techies: If you expect to just run Windows 8-10, and expect to see the full 32GB or 64GB out of the box, think again. It comes pre-installed with Android as well as Windows, and the Android partition(s) take half the drive. Only way to get it all back is to do a fresh Windows install, and that's not a trivial task for a novice at all on these mini-pc's.On top of all of that, the one I got didn't come with a valid Windows Product Key. No BIOS SLIC either. Only option for most is to purchase a Windows license. I didn't really care about that as I have my own Windows 10 Keys.Right out of the box, I did a fresh install of Windows 10. It came up fine, but there are several missing drivers. I found a complete driver kit at:www:dot:pcexpert-blog:dot:com /2015/08/pipo-x8-installazione-aggiornamento-a-windows-10.htmlThe hardware is great. Really quick, the display is nice and bright, and the touch panel is accurate!Fortunately for us, the Overseas manufacturers mostly just spit out cookie-cutter copies of Intel Hardware Reference Designs. God help us if they ever try to innovate or change anything. It'll never ever work lol.Good luck.

excellent for ground station!
Perfect mini computer for FPS ground station. uses 12v power which it basically sips on, have options increase in storage thanks to it's SD Card slot and usb slots make it a good choice for a SDR radio receiver with AndroPilot or similar android/windows based software.

Great for small amount of work load.
It's good for home use or for small amount of work to be done. The moment you try to ask it to do a good work load it gets pretty shotty.

I like it for the price. Wish it had a battery so I could use it portable.
