Best cast iron appe chitti
I am very happy to have purchased this product. Works as stated by the manufacturer. I used it for the first time and it worked perfect. This is the first time i made appe at home from mix daal batter and they turned out perfect. No sticking no issue in cleaning. Just follow the simple instructions of seasoning and cleaning. I received the product in good packing and it was undamaged and delivered on time. I received the appe chitti and have made 2-3 types of appe each day since ita so easy to use abd gives crisp taste. Recommend tbis product. Value for money

Paint material sticks to food and odd smell for a Pre-seasoned cookware
The product came in Amazon plastic wrapper, inside box carton box was damaged. Delivery was prompt.Product has a grayish coating which is on both sides of the incompletely finished cast iron cookware. There is a grey powdery substance coming off of the paniyaaram pan, Even after couple of wash with mild soap there is a Horrible smell when kept in stove for cooking/seasoning (Refer picture).Paniyaaram comes with greyish coating.

Excellent product
Very impressed with the pan. It was not very well pre-seasoned, but with minimal effort (coated with oil, heated on medium until it smoked and then let it cool), it turned non stick. Very easy to clean too. I use it on ceramic hot plate and it works very well. I only clean it with a natural fiber brush and no soap.

Good buy at this price
It's not preseasoned, will have black residue at start, you need to season it, couple of times before using it, follow Indus Valley YouTube tutorial for this.Once it's ready and you cook your first batch of appams they will come out easily and the taste will be awesome.You can go with Meyer if you don't want to season it a couple of times before using it.Keep some patience, once you get the technique of seasoning and cooking in cast iron utensils, you never go back to aluminum.
