This detector works well. We found buried cans, nails, and other pieces of metal in our back yard. Some were about 5 inches underground and had clearly been there for years. We liked that this comes with a case and with a trowel and rake for digging. It is easy to use and doesn't need tuning. A great choice in metal detectors for children.

My grandson in CA has loved it and has found “treasures” in all sorts of places.

My Grandson loves it and he is 8, so just his size. Works very well for the money. Entertains for hours.

It’s easy to assemble and fits in the bag great. It feels strudel but I’m Not sure how good it works yet. Giving to my grandson on his birthday this Fourth of July.I’ll keep you posted

We gave this to our grandson, aged 7, for his birthday. We did what the review said and threw coins in the yard prior to opening gifts. He immediately went outside to “hunt”. He was thrilled when he started finding coins. He played out there until dusk. He has hunted several more times. Found an old railroad spike, rusty screws, bolts, nuts, and he never tires of the thrill of the hunt. Highly recommend! Lightweight and very penetrating in the soil!

A little disappointed in design and quality. Its like a little tykes toy. Grandson loved it it though.

Purchased 2 of these for my grandsons 6 and 9 years. Prior to bringing the detectors out - my husband hide pirate treasure of metal coins in our sandy front yard - perfect for buried pirate treasure... The boys have been THRILLED with these. They come with a VERY hand storage/carrying bag - a hand shovel and a very handy claw for digging. I did separately purchased a sieve like scoop - which is very handy to sort through dug up sand and a hand held wand for checking spoils. Both have proven to be worthy extra purchases. In my opinion the boys have really gotten our money's worth out these already - hopefully they will last a while. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. These are great fun and have held their attention for hours at a time. Of course the buried "treasure" didn't hurt. Lots of safe excitement at home in the time of the virus when staying at home and having fun is sometimes hard. Mostly they are yellow and black plastic. And are pretty darn accurate. Overall - in use and price - I am pleased.

The boys like using it and it works as described, however it beeps so often at the beach or park due to the infrastructure (pipes etc) we don’t use it as often as expected. We did find a college students key to her dorm for her and I don’t think the manufacturer should be faulted for the ways the beaches or parks are built next to us so I’m still giving it 5 stars.
