He loves this but it isnot for younger children due to safety issues!

My kit came missing the bead release so I was not able to use it right away and had to order a bottle of bead release. The safety glasses in the kit need to be upgraded to the proper type of safety glasses for use of flamework, otherwise this is a good starter kit for someone just starting into glass beadwork. I recommend taking a basic flamework class before investing in a kit and deciding what works best for you.

This kit is not bad if you are looking to determine if you want to make a greater investment in this art form. I am already a glass fuser and have wanted to try this form of glass art for many years. The kit had everything except the bead release which the description said it included. I bought some bead release from Hobby Lobby. The only issues I have are that the glass rods they include in the kit are not of the highest quality, BUT they work just fine. I mean, honestly, you are not going to get Effetre glass AND everything else they include for $100! If you want to do more complex projects, then you need to make a bigger investment. However, to simply learn the basics, this kit is fine. The 4 stars are because there was no bead release.

I am completely disappointed with this product. The only reason i got the kit was that i want to learn glass-making, but it didn't come with instructional dvd. Knowing i will get my glass supplies somewhere else, its almost a complete waste of money. And of course, now i'm sad.
