L'oreal Hip Studio Secrets Professional Color Truth Cream Eyeliner, Eggplant, 0.1590-Ounce

I have been using this for over 10 yrs and it's absolutely there best eyeliner ever!!! And I've used them ALL!! Glides on easily and isn't to much of a liquid that it gets in your eyes. The color is beautiful, but the best part is that it LASTS ALL DAY LONG!! And you don't get that gross gunk in the corner of your eyes or the smudges under your eyes as the days go on. Heartbroken when L'Oreal stopped selling it.

I already own several Stila Smudge Pots, including one in Cobalt. They are very pigmented, creamy as a dream and apply spectaculary. I was looking for another blue gel liner that was a bit of a different blue shade from Stila's Cobalt so decided to try this Loreal Hip liner in Midnight Blue, along with another in Eggplant.I received the item very quickly, great stuff. When I opened the box I noticed the packaging of the product - the jar and lid - are absolutely identical to Stila Smudge Pots. When I opened the lid, much to my amazement, even the *product* looked the same! Same shade, same texture, even the same level of product in the container. WTH? So I dipped my angled liner brush in and applied. This Loreal HIP liner is just as creamy and pigmented as my Stila Smudge Pot in Cobalt! It's also exactly the same shade on the skin!The only difference I can notice are almost indistinguishable little flecks of silver in it. It's not noticeable in the jar or when applied, though.Overall this product is worth every penny. If Stila Smudge Pots are not on for a good price at the time you're shopping, you're not losing out by picking this liner up instead. It'll save you some money and you'll wind up with pretty much exactly the same product. Keep in mind, however, that all shades of these HIP liners may not be the same in terms of pigmentation and texture. I found the Eggplant shade not quite as pigmented as this one. It also required a bit more product to get the same results. It's still worth the price, though. Especially with the massive amount you get in the jar. I would sooner buy these HIP liners than any MAC cream liner any day of the week. 5 stars for these bad boys, all the way!

I have tried crayon, pencil, and liquid eyeliner before using this gel-cream eyeliner, and without a doubt this has the most bang for its buck. My biggest complaint with other liners was that they did not have much lastability, they often smudged or didn't seem to make it the whole day without rubbing off and needing to be reapplied. My other issue, particularly with liquid eyeliner, is getting it close to the eye but not so close that I actually paint the eye itself. The gel-cream works incredibly well to solve both these issues, and I have been very happy with the end results.My only complaint with the product is the brush included for application. It is incredibly brittle and scratchy, which is no fun when using it particularly on the upper eyelid. However, the easiest solution here is to simply purchase a better brush. For the price of the liner, I'm not surprised the brush isn't the best quality, but the liner itself works like a charm and the combination of buying this liner and a better brush does not break the bank at all!

This is a wonderful product that will define your eyes. My regular liquid liner and pencil either smear or flake off. This will not. I advise you to use it as if you were actually painting a picture---when you dab the brush into the color, wipe some off on a paper towel (I advise not the back of your hand as this is gel and harder to clean off). I reapply it 3x throughout the day, but thats just me. You may not need to, I like to freshen up. Also practice at home with this a few times. The line you draw is only as good as your hand is steady and what you draw. I like it very much. You cant beat it for the money. I take it off with Cetaphil gentle cleanser on a clean cotton pad. It takes a few times to get it all off because its gel.

I guess I have greasy/oily eyelids, because my eyeliner tends to crease after the first hour has gone by, which is not great when you're trying to hit on the cute guy on the bus, but you end up saying something stupid and your eyeliner has creased and is even dripping down your eyes and you look like The Crow.WELL thankfully I found this HIP cream eyeliner. Freeeeaking love it, can't live without it!! Stays on forever, won't crease or run down my face, even in summer. I sometimes even use a small amount to feather in my eyebrows, and it doesn't look unnatural at all. (I have it in black)Only con is that halfway done with the product, it always tends to dry out and turns clunky. Tried everything from preventing this from happening, like placing it in a cooler area or adding a couple drops of water. Maybe I should throw it into the fridge or something? But, since it is so cheap compared to other "higher end products", I can afford to buy a new one when it is halfway done, and it tends to last me about 3-2 months.

Shipping was very quick, no complaints there. There was a sticker on the package that said 50% off, kinda makes me wonder where the seller got the product from??The product looks like it will be great...but sadly is quite disappointing. I have brown eyes and thought the dark blue would really pop. I really liked the color, but like others have said, the brush isnt great for detailed lines. I tried doing a cat eye with the brush and they were not even. Im pretty good at them usually. Def not something I'd use for a work day when I dont have time to stand there and make it look right.Right away the color was flaking off into my eyes and got under my contacts which was quite uncomfortable. I left it on for maybe 5 hours just out shopping. No sweating or humidity. When I went to take it off that night, most of it had smeared away. All over my face were little blue flakes. I have found using baby wipes takes most makeup off wonderfully but this required some scrubbing and even some makeup remover. Luckily this wasnt expensive otherwise it would be totally not worth it. If I had to do over, Id save my money and get something better.

Lovely product. Lasts all day. Goes on a treat. Little brush with it has excellent precision. Looking forward to treating myself to some other colours in this range

I use this as a base on my eyelids rather than as an eyeliner, and the colour is stunning. I have brown skin, so I was really impressed that I didn't need a primer. I will definitely buy from this range again.

The eye-liner is a weak colour have to put a lot on to see it and the brush bristles are very hard and scratchy would not recommend to buy and especially for anyone who is new at trying gel eye-liner.
