Two features that really set this stand apart are a tray for rosin and Hercules' Auto Grip System (AGS). The small removable tray keeps a cake of rosin or other small accessory close. The AGS uses the weight of the instrument to activate arms which secure the violin while on the stand. By simply lifting the instrument the arms release for easy removal. All contact points are wrapped in soft Specially Formulated Foam (SFF) for protection from scratches. The Hercules DS571BB Violin/Viola Stand is made of aluminum and features a sturdy tripod base.
