Very nice gravel, but Lime color is actually yellow, will need about 1 bag per gallon
I bought two bags of these gravel in two different colors, blue and lime. When I opened the bags to rinse the gravel, I was really pleased with their quality. Probably the best gravel I've ever used. There was no dust, dirt or broken bits in the bag. Each piece is large in size, so it's a nice choice for aquariums that might be having issues with gravel that slips through filters on pumps and such. It's very clean, and looks really good in my fish's bowl. However the lime color is not green at all. It doesn't even resemble green, no matter what light I look at it in. It's a light yellow color. The best way I can describe it, would be to call it a pale neon yellow. The blue gravel I ordered in addition to the lime, was true to color. Sort of a deep royal blue color.I have a beta in a fish bowl that looks to be a little bit more than a half-gallon in size, and one bag would have been enough for me to order. But since I wanted to mix the colors, I used half of the contents of two bags. So I would guess you probably need between 1/2 to 1 bag for every half gallon your tank/bowl is. Using the equivalent of one bag of gravel in my half-gallon fish bowl, it sits about 1.5 inches deep at it's deepest point. So if you like your gravel a bit shallower, you would probably use about 1 bag per gallon. Great choice for small bowls and tanks, but those with larger set-ups may want to check and see if this is offered in a larger 5 pound size instead.

Perfect for my needs
Great so far, 2x bags were perfect for my 2.5 gallon tank. I'm glad I read the reviews to know that. Not worth it for a big tank, but great price for mine. I paid less than $5 for it all and the quality was great. When I rinsed it there was no little floating or flakes of pieces that has broken off like other brands I've bought in bulk.Update: I removed 1 star because the first 2 days my tank cycled, the rocks turned my filter inserts purple. Hopefully now that the tank is more established the new insert won't turn colors.

Very Vibrant! Love it!
We got the 1lb blue option for my sons Betta fish! It was enough for the size of his tank! Eventually we will be buying more when we get a larger tank! Theyre very easy to clean! Very good price for the amount that it brings. Looks so cool in the water! My son loved putting them in the tank! Looks great!

Pink and purple are great, yellow is a no-no
I love the pink and purple versions of this gravel which I’ve never had a problem with. The pink is a nice, lighter type of pink and unlike the typical bright pinks you see sold in pet stores. The purple is a medium purple with a very slight, almost unnoticeable, blue hue - very cool color. They’re both dust-free and don’t fade to white which is a major plus. This week, I bought the neon yellow version for my new betta, and the quality was entirely different. I rinsed it 3x which is what I did for the pink and purple ones, and it still had a distinct paint/chemical odor. When I placed it in my brand new aquarium, the water turned yellow and even with a filter, the water remained yellow and cloudy. So I had to take apart the new tank, clean all the filter media, and re-set up everything with some sand I had (since the pink and purple colors were not available online). I bought 3 packs of the yellow which was a total waste of money, but I’d rather have a healthy betta fish than chance having him become sick or die. I couldn’t even stand the smell so I couldn’t imagine him being in there for a second. After draining the aquarium, I double bagged the gravel and it’ll be going out with the trash tomorrow. So not sure if this was a one-off, bad batch, or if the yellow one is made with a different dye or process, but I definitely don’t recommend the gamble.Gave 3 stars for the excellent experience I’ve had purchasing the pink and purple versions for the past 5 years.

Great aquarium gravel
I loved the color, the only problem I had with this is the bag is very small.
