Solar Security Light LED Motion Sensor Outdoor Waterproof, Guardian 580X, 730 Lumen Full Brightness, 3 Lighting Modes, as Flood Light and Wide Angle Spotlight

I purchased this solar powered flood light to replace a Mr. Beams 300 lumen motion sensor light. It was mounted on a palm tree over the apron of my driveway about 14 feet in the air. At 300 lumens, it put out a decent amount of light with good sensitivity. Changing the batteries after several months of service was a bit awkward at the height it was mounted. After some research on Amazon, I found the Guardian 580X.Amazon delivered quickly to our home in "Sunny Florida" - over 18 inches of rain in 10 days here when delivered, BTW... The instructions on the floodlight say to charge the solar panel for at least 8 hours of direct sunlight. Under the weather conditions I was wondering when I would be able to see this solar floodlight in action.***SHORTCUT TIP*** I put the solar panel under a LED light fixture I had built with two 10watt 4000K lamps for about 3 hours. At that point I was able to set the light up for testing in the garage. It was awesome to see the light in action as it was designed to operate. I then made two brackets to attach to the palm tree. One for the light and the motion sensor and the second mounted 3 feet below for the solar panel. I covered the wires in between the two brackets with a piece of aluminum window screen frame to protect the wires from the elements.So far, Very impressed. The sensitivity of the motion sensor is very good, the output of the light is awesome for a stand alone fixture not dependent on line voltage. This is perfect solution for remote areas that are impractical to run electrical circuits to.I am interested to see how the lithium battery holds up over time; By mounting the solar panel 3 feet below the light fixture, is is easily accessible if the battery needs to be replaced.I will update this review in the future to share the performance of this product.**Update** - It has been four months since the installation of this floodlight. I set up the light for motion sensing only; As initially stated, the sensitivity is great. The sensor picks motion from both the street and the sidewalk at a wide radius around the area the light covers.The light charges well with the same brightness as when first installed. It puts out a huge amount of light right where I want it.Still five stars and two thumbs up!

This is a great solar light. It is bright. I have the light setup in the mode where the light is in dim mode till motion, then it gets bright. Light stays bright about one minute then back to dim. There is no timing adjustment for the length of time it stays bright, as it is preset. Been using my light for weeks and it stays lit (dim mode) all night. I use it in my carport. There is plenty of light to see to exit my car and unlock the carport door. The light is well made. There is plenty of cable about 10 to 12 feet for the light and 6 to 8 feet of cable for the motion sensor. This light works so well that I'm thinking about purchasing a second one for inside my garage.Update 4/7/18. Its close to 18 months since purchase I have had only to replace the battery once and the light still works flawlessly. The light still burns all night. By far this, has been my best solar light purchase. We are so pleased I can't say enough

I purchased this to light up my driveway so that my Ring security camera could catch anyone sneaking up where the camera's light can't reach. I mounted it about 9-10 feet above the driveway under the eave at the corner of the house. It is bright so I'd say the 730 lumen description is pretty accurate. The Ring is 350 lumens and wouldn't go past the porch. Everything is metal/glass housing on the light and panel. The motion sensor is all plastic. I'd definitely put the sensor out of the sun as the plastic will probably degrade.I knocked off 2 stars because the connectors at the panel were not watertight, the beam, and the sensor range. The plastic nut was deformed and kept cross-threading so I had to put some plumbers pipe dope in the threads. The cords to the connectors are also only about 5 inches long so they are exposed to rain/weather since the panel has to be out in full sun. Wish they were longer so the connectors could be under the eave where it's dry. It's already been rained on once and it's still working though. The beam is not a wide floodlight which is what I wanted. It's more a spotlight as you can see in my photo. Finally, the sensor field is narrow. It swivels like an eyeball so I have to point it towards the front of the driveway or else it won't detect you until you're pretty much right under it. It will pick up from at least 30 feet though if you're within the narrow sensor field.Overall, still a good bright light, but better geared for a narrow area. I'll keep it for now until I find something better-suited for my needs and use this light somewhere else.

The Guardian 580 solar motion-detection light is well made, and works great. Mine worked flawlessly for almost 18 months until a heavy rain storm somehow caused water to enter the back of the motion-detector assembly, damage the circuit board and then pool inside the lens of the motion-detector. If I order another one, I will seal the back of the motion-detector housing with waterproof sealant before installation.

This light is BRIGHT. I have it set to illuminate on motion at the highest brightness and it can illuminate an area of about 40-50 feet. The motion sensor works fairly well, few false positives (wind, leaves, etc.) and illuminates most of the time when animals pass (may have to do with aim of motion sensor also). Great battery life, In the winter (northeast) the light lasts from dark until about midnight, in summer it can go multiple nights without a sunny day. The solar panel and brackets are solid but the panel is only held to the bracket with a washer and some caulk so beware of this when mounting or removing bracket from the panel. SolarLightMart products and this flood light in particular are solid products I would recommend to anyone looking for a high quality and bright LED solar lighting.

Compré hace un par de años aquí la Farola solar HEX 780X de Solar Light Mart y estoy encantada con su batería , calidad de los materiales y los lúmenes. Esta marca me parece más fiable que otras y coloqué dos reflectores GUARDIAN con sensor en los muros de mi casa hace dos meses. El sensor funciona de momento perfectamente y el haz de luz es potente. Lo mejor del producto es que se puede colocar la placa solar a 3 metros de distancia del foco y es el único modelo de este tipo que lleva sensor de movimiento. Se puede comprar directamente en Malasia pero ojalá repongan stock en Amazon pronto.

Valutazione a5 stelle per il prodotto. Logicamente avendolo appena installato non posso conoscere la durata nel tempo, ma per ora corrisponde in tutto e per tutto alle descrizioni. Nella confezione erano presenti anche le istruzioni in più lingue tra cui l'italiano (cosa abbastanza insolita). Massimo voto per il prodotto, ma anche per il produttore. Ricevuto in meno di due giorni: ordinato mercoledì sera e ricevuto venerdì ora di pranzo. Complimenti.

Not normally ‘impressed’ with solar lights but this is flipping good. Easy to operate(ok, not as many ‘fine tuning’ features), seems well made(good solid feel)... but the light output is really really good. I’m just about to buy another 3 more as I’ve not seen anything this good in a solar light...Update: October 2018.. Well, it’s been out in some fairly miserable weather and still working very well(and still impressed me now with amount of light it throws out).Just ordered 2 more, and I’ll see how they fair in sunnier conditions.Still highly recommended.

I live in Quebec Canada and have had two of these lights set up now since August 2016. They're fantastic. When I first got them they were a little smaller than I imagined so I was worried it wouldn't give that much light. But they're VERY bright. The solar panel isn't that big either, so then I was worried they wouldn't work some nights.. BUT, they've worked every single night since I got them, even throughout the winter with temperatures getting as cold as -30C. Actually, there was one night during the winter, one of the coldest nights, that the lights just kept turning on by themselves even when no motion to trigger them. That was the only little glitch they ever encountered, I assume because of the cold, but next day they were back to normal and it hasn't happened again. It's not always sunny where we are either, and even after a few days of cloud cover, they still work perfectly.Overall a top-notch product.

Great Light, Very impressed with quality of product, well made, easy to install. So bright in full mode. I am even thinking of ordering more and putting round the whole house.
