Aleron Kong may have just spoiled the Litrpg genre for me -- Predators is to Piccolo as other litrpg is to Saibamen.
Critical success! As Aleron Kong completed The Land: Predators a Unique Event triggered. The Forge of Heavens shot a beam of light from a computer-shaped constellation, upgrading this book's quality to MASTERWORK! Sorry, I almost never use caps but this book is just too good. Litrpg fans, rejoice! It's time to fangirl! Most litrpgs feel like fast food to me. They are quick, dirty reads that often leave my shirt spotted with typos. And afterward I feel a bit sick and unfulfilled, yet somehow craving more. But this was a 5 course meal! Organic, locally sourced, cruelty free...wait no definitely not cruelty free.Heh, NOPE. But seriously, unbelievably filling and so satisfying. I love being able to make it through several story arcs in one litrpg novel. WHAT A *NOVEL* CONCEPT. It actually feels like an RPG instead of CANDY CRUSH. In fact, Aleron Kong may have just spoiled the Litrpg genre for me because he has just upped the ante here with a big ALL IN. As I read this book I kept looking at the progress % and wondered how it was increasing so little despite my enjoyment being so large. It's not fair! Winning in QUALITY and QUANTITY? Have some mercy Aleron Kong! But he had Gnomercy. This book is a mean green fighting machine. Straight Predator. This book was one of those books where I kept hoping it would never end...rather than the kind where I can't wait to finish it.Spoiler free Content description:As usual, Richter is a fine balance between decisive manager and insane party animal. Whether you hate him or love him...he's always entertaining. Predators pushes Richter to the limit mentally, spiritually, emotionally and of course, physically. He didn't just grow in levels here people. And that's not all! The plot advanced a LOT in this novel and juicy morsels of worldbuilding were released to the howling mob of undead litrpg fans. There is so much to love about this novel and very little to hate. I will not spoil anything but basically Aleron Kong has increased his stats across the board and developed his story in all directions. This is one of those books where "investments" from book 1 are becoming payoffs. For me this is easily the top of the food chain in The Land series.Improvements:I only found 11 typos in this MASSIVE tome. Very impressive. The dramatic irony in a certain section of the book nearly drove me to madness. It was legit Cruciatus level, pulling out my own hair in anxiety & frustration...BUT it was worth the wait and Aleron my man brought tears to my eyes. Well played sir. Book did end on a bit of a cliffhanger, which is low and dirty for such a highbrow litrpg. However, I am willing to forgive in light of the extreme quality and quantity preceding said cliffhanger. CAUTION - ONE LINE SPOILER: Also, how could you not pick the senzu beans man?!?! Arghhhhhhh!!! XDSummary:All my five stars are belong to this. The cream, the bacon, the dessert, the everything you could want in a litrpg. Aleron Kong has had Gnomercy and went Super Saiyan and the result is absolutely beautiful Chaos. Seeds have been planted for the future, but this book is a bountiful HARVEST.

... reader this book has its faults but is another great addition to the Land saga and i couldn't recommend ...
If you are a reader this book has its faults but is another great addition to the Land saga and i couldn't recommend it more.(spoilers past this point)OK Aleron if you are reading this i have a few criticisms for you.First: YOU DON'T NEED TO RE EXPLAIN EVERY LITTLE THING! I swear a quarter of the book was filled with information that we already know. The people reading this book already know how imbue arrow works. I know most of richters skills and what they do. I am not saying not to do any of it. for example knowing the increases due to skills and ability in an enchantment is fine if it is relevant at that moment. My suggestion would be to put an index of everything at the beginning of the book. Make it to where it could easily be referenced and put a foot note or the kindle equivalent to that for that information. That way we don't have to slog threw information we already know. If your having a hard time deciding if you should write it out or use a footnote just ask yourself "how often does this information come up in the old books?"Second: I am starting to get really tired of being bashed in the face with References to Pop culture. Its nice from time to time and it can be funny as well but at the same time it pulls the reader from being immersed in the story. I want to be entertained and pulled into this magical world that you have created and I want to be clear that I love this world. but when you slather that world with the pop culture references it just makes that really hard.Third: I understand that stuff in the real world happens suddenly but I feel like I am in a roller coaster with sharp 90 degree turns sometimes when I am reading this. This isn't that bad because i understand what your trying to do by doing this (at least i think i do) and i bet it is really hard to have a smooth transitions and do what your trying to do at the same time but you should try to refine that if you can.Forth: Stop forgetting Characters! Beyan was with the crew when they left to got to the kendir but after the abyssel tree he never showed up again. This was incredibly annoying. Beyan should have honestly been more apart of this book in general due to him being one of the experts on undead and all.Aside from those complains I greatly enjoyed the book and am excited to read more when book 8 comes out. I am excited to see the people of the mist grow into something truly powerful and I love that you didn't shy away from killing characters that were a big part of the mist village. Thank you for writing this book and if is your goal i hope that one day that your books sell well enough for you to do it full time.

Another excellent read.
Despite the massive size of this book, we were made to wait until right at the end of this book for the long and much anticipated confrontation between Richter and allies and the Eldritch lord that has been causing trouble for the last little while. Here’s hoping that we don’t have to wait another whole year for the next book since we all want to find out how the cliffhanger from this book is resolved. This book also contains answers to a few of the questions that have been accumulating over the books so far (as well as adding it’s fair share of new ones of course). Quite a few new game mechanics are added.Although this book only covers just over a week of time, there is plenty of action to fill that time. And, as usual, I was left hungry for more which is always a great sign. Time to start cracking the whip and asking Aleron when we can expect book 8...! ;)

Good but suffers from. Some of the darker aspects
Loved the length of the book and the series as a whole. My only issue blocking it from becoming 5 starts is the whole gratiutious use of rape as way of make the world darker and adding stakes to what is happening. Now I like the books and even the technique when used properly. But it's starting to feel like whenever the author wants to show somebody is evil. Boom thats what he uses. It's a small thing and the books are amazing but if I had to change one thing that would be it. Oh and the MC suffers from idiot savant syndrome. But I still enjoy him.Gnomes rule!

I really enjoyed the book
I really enjoyed the book. I did like the explanations of the world and the exposition of the plot moving along nicely, if slowly. The introduction of another chaos seed from Earth was excellent and the development of that characters arc was satisfying. However and it is a big however the formatting of the tables was awful in the kindle edition. The previous books tables were much better and used less space. There was a lot of repeated detailed in the statistic tables, stuff that was repeated over and over again. There was a lot of repeated details in the level up messages. Know this - by this time in the series the level up messages are well known, I play a lot of MMORPG's, after a time, you skip repetitive game text, guess what, I did the same for a lot of this type of text.

A must read for rpg fans both young and old
Super read, especially for all is old rpg players, when the story was the main part of an adventure and the fights and battles just added to the passion, I do hope that a film of this is maybe loomed at now that special effects can show just what we imagined through all those dungeon crawls, thanks Alerin, strength to your quill, which must be some high level item, I have made it a point to recommend your storied to many of my old dungeon colleagues, gygax and Tolkien would have loved theseJohnFrom Scotland 🏴

Another great step in the series!!!!!
What a Beast of a book!!! I have no background in LitRPG books but his fantasy writing has kept me with the series. I have to admit that I have come to the place where I even enjoy the pauses for his charts. While Richter's approach to sexuality seems more oriented to an adolescent's yearnings, his overall plot development and action sequences continues to keep me enthralled with the series.
