Great Historic Pattern, but Not for Beginners!
I would not recommend this pattern if you are a beginner. The pattern is very detailed even if the dress itself is not that hard to make. The instructions are not always very clear and sometimes do require numerous readings of the pattern. That being said, Laughing Moon does an amazing job providing historically accurate patterns that are modified for the modern body. It explains both the traditional way to perform certain steps, as well as a modern alternative. There is a ton of information inside of this pattern; it talks about the colors that were popular at the time, the fabrics and all kinds of interesting historic details. It is very nice to have multiple dresses that you can make with one pattern though and the different pieces can be combined to make many different styles!

A Proper Pattern
This pattern is fantastic and arrived in a timely manner. I love the variations and the range of sizes available in one pattern, and the price was very reasonable. In addition, the pattern includes a vast amount of information including historical facts, extra sources, and fitting guidelines for a precise match to varying body types. I also appreciate the pattern paper quality. It will not easily tear as most patterns do, which I believe allows for more precise cutting of fabric. Although I am at a beginner's level in all things sewing, the instructions have so far been very easy to follow. I can't wait to see my finished product, and I plan to use this pattern many times in future.

I Love to sew
I Love to sew, but I am not very experienced at it. This patern came with a book of very detailed indtructions, which told me how to assemble each part of the dress. It also tells you about the history of this dress patern and how to make the dress as historically acurate as possible. I was very impressed and would buy more paterns from this company.

Style
Used not only for this but also would like to make a cute little jacket out of the top alone very nice instructions and great versatility when it comes to sizing perfect if you're plus size as well and I mean actual plus size. Not just what they like to call plus-size.

The pattern is just awful! I'm experienced sewer and this pattern was a real challenge which really surprised me. Trying to dry fit it on a friend was way too complicated. I ended up so frustrated that I chucked the pattern and just made a free hand muslin mock up.
