You need this!!
This thermostat is exactly what we needed for our 2013 installed Mitsubishi mini split, one head. It is 100% compatible and, in my opinion, should have been included with the unit in the first place instead of the handheld remote control. Not ever knowing what the actual room temperature was, when we bought a thermometer for the room, the unit was over/under performing on a constant basis. I was so tired of having to constantly adjust vanes, fan speed, etc. to try to get stability in the room temperature. This unit heats and cools a 567 sf apartment with one bed and one bath and walls. Occupants know to leave the doors open for air flow, and the apt. was designed so the one head would serve the whole space. This thermostat does EVERYTHING the remote control did, and much more. It was incredibly easy to self-install. We did not use the installation instructions provided to install the receiver as they were for professionals, but instead found the perfect YouTube video for our unit. It was basically plug and play, like it was set up that way all along. We did follow the instructions for setting up the thermostat to communicate with the wireless receiver, which was extremely easy to do.You have a whole plethora of programming options available. You can make it a non-programmable thermostat also (no set schedule for time and day), which is what we did since we have short-term tenants all the time. The instructions provided explain very clearly how to get into the option mode and make any changes you desire, all of which are reversible at any time. The thermostat gives you complete control of fan speed, mode, and vane direction (the MORE button). It's basically a Honeywell with a Mitsubishi name on it. Changeover mode works flawlessly - so much better than the remote control. We put the old remote control away as there is no need for it, but you can also control the unit with that if you want. The thermostat does what a thermostat is supposed to do. It transfers the original thermostat located in the indoor unit (bad design!) to now the new wall thermostat. We have ours located away from direct air flow and far enough back in the apartment for optimal heating and cooling of the entire space. The fan does continue to run constantly, as it was designed to do, but you can disable that function through options if you desire. You need this! Don't hesitate to buy. It takes all the guesswork out of the equation and makes the mini split much, much more efficient in doing its job. Money well spent.

Works well, easy to install. Compatible with ceiling Recessed P-Series units
Installed with PUZ-A24NHA4 and PLA-A24BA4 units. The instructions were extremely vague about how to mount the transmitter in ceiling recessed unit (only had pictures for wall-mounted units). The solution is to not mount it at all. It's so light and small, you can just leave it in the ceiling next to the unit on top of insulation (or mount it to a beam if you really feel the need).I strongly recommend getting the Honewell Red Link Internet Gateway which allows you to control this thermostat from anywhere. One note: the online software can't show you the difference between "Completely Off" and "Off but set to activate on schedule". To truly turn it Completely Off from your iPhone, you have to first turn it on Auto, then immediately turn it Off. It's odd, but at least it works.Only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that I could *not* put this thermostat on a 5-day work-week schedule. On weekdays, I have the unit set to power on in the morning and power off at night. On weekends, though, you have to set an "On" period (the first period cannot be powered off), which I immediately follow 15 minutes later by an "Off" period. So it turns on for 15 minutes on Saturday and Sunday. I contacted Mitsubishi multiple times and they reluctantly agreed that you had to turn it on at least once every day, although advised me I could run it with the temperature in the extremes and the fan off. In this manner, the vents just open and close for 15 minutes each weekend day. Kind of an ugly work around and surprised none of the programmers noticed this obvious flaw.Oh, and to the guy who says he locked his thermostat in residential/commercial mode... read the instruction manual! It's so easy a child could set it up.

Do not buy if you want flexibility in programing
Installed 5 of these and the unit is off temperature by 2 degrees. The inability to program each weekday at different times is a major problem. Do not buy this stat if you work other than the normal Monday- Friday work schedule. Using Redlink will allow you to change the temperature up or down but NOT change the schedule. This is built by Honeywell. Strange the old Honeywell Chronotherm has the schedule for the individual days but not this "new" stat. Someone wanted to save a few pennies. Because these stats are used for a commercial application that has different tenants doing different things on different days of the week this is a major headache for us. So far Mitsubishi has been non responsive to our requests for help.We have been told we will have to replace these stats with new stats from Honeywell which have to be hard wired and require another $200 interface be added to the Mr. Slim unit on top of the price for the new stats. A major expense to get something that works. Otherwise, there MAY be a new stat on the market on the next year or so that MAY solve our problem. Thanks Mitusubishi for saving the few pennies on the chipset of the MHK1's. Do not buy if you want flexibility in your thermostat programing.

This is the thermostat that should have originally come with my Mitsu split heater/AC!
We bought a Mitsubishi Split Heater/AC a couple years ago for a small office. The handheld controller is so complex and so confusing that it was basically impossible to use. So, this solves the issue. This thermostat is like all the ones in our main house, with just the settings that we need. Installation was trickier than I expected. The YouTube videos I found for installation instructions all used a slightly different unit. But, it still is pretty straightforward as long as you take your time.

Does not work with all Mr Slim Heat Pumps
Unfortunately the thermostat was not compatible with my Mr Slim heat pump. It displayed an error code which indicated "incompatible". A call to Mitsubishi Service verified that my specific model could not accept this wireless unit although the documentation said it was able to accept a remote unit. My lesson (which I paid for in shipping the unit from and back to the vendor) was to call Mitsubishi first!
